In my case i like to hang out between /mhg/ 2nd squad and the MonHanGen B, some 4-5 people are HR60+ and we usually end up sharing our Elder Tempereds between each other.

Reminder to ALWAYS collect Tempered tracks when you're on quest, i got 2 new Tempered Elder investigation because of that.

Yeah it's pretty weird, before I hit HR50 I was just farming tempered Jyura and picking up all his mud, then I got Temp Azure and picking up all the footprints, then I got some more harder ones, Temp Black Diablos/Bazel HR30 required quests.

So I started with IG, moved on to other weapons but want to go back to it a bit now that I have all armor sets unlocked.
What are the skills I should aim for with insect glaive?
Xeno's Beta Chest an Alpha Boots seem decent for the buff prolonger, although I'm not sure +30% is worth the compromise. For melee sets I already have Odogaron, should I just stick to it or is there something better for IG? I'm pretty sure Jump Master , Master Mounter and Airborne are all trap skills I should avoid.

I know that investigations are the best way to get rare materials, but if I want a Rathalos Ruby, should I kill the Rathalos or capture it? What gives me better odds of getting the ruby?

Nope there should be one more arena quest and one more main assignment after that. Not sure when they Arena quest pops, but the triple elder assignment pops at HR100. Which isn't the HR cap btw. Also I'm not sure about this but I think you get tempered fights for the elders outside of investigations.

Will someone redpill me on HBG? My buddy swears by it but it looks like there is literally two end game weapons to use, and he only ever uses Slice or Wyvern shot. Is there something I'm missing?

I'm not sure if I should be annoyed that 80% of the bests weapons are nerg or the fact you have to farm 5 horns every single time for this shit, that and Xeno too.

I think we can all agree that MHW is a good basis for future games, but for now 3U, 4U and X/XX are better, more solid Monster Hunter games.

How do you unlock tempered elder dragons investigations after HR49 quest btw? Simply roaming in expeditions and praying you find a special track?

Nope. I easily completed the last quest with this gear (which for some reason specific bow retards think it has no way of dealing damage). They don't 1-shot you at all

they also don't reach very far behind the monster which is really interesting. Some monsters can have their tail hit while roaring, even.

The only problem with this set is that as soon as you get used to playing bow with this set is you'll never be able to go back to any build that doesn't have constitution.

I was playing IG and had the defense buff up, that could have helped, but they don't always 1 shot, that's for sure.
I would definitely agree. W feels like a test game of sorts for more games of this sort, but honestly it feels a little dry on content. I only have like 100 hours and I feel like I all I have left to do at this point is make more stuff.
