Yugoslavia was the original EU

Is Europe going the way of Yugoslavia? After reading London for Immigrant suckers, I'm inclined to believe so. Too many similarities to ignore.

Hopefully.

Like the US needing a military base? Or the like IMF fucking over the economy? Or the German secret service pumping money into independence movements? Or Russia being unable to project power onto their traditional sphere of influence?

So OP didn't think this through?

Yugoslavia was a block free country that was ripped apart. If anything is comparable then maybe Ukraine or Syria.
"Will the EU break apart" would have been a better question. The comparison to Yugoslavia is nonsense.

Yugoslavia was destroyed from within with the little (too much) help from the USA and EU (Germany). EU can potentially be destroyed by the USA, Russia (instead of the EU from above) and from within. There are so many comparison to YU.

By that logic you can replace "EU" with any given country hosting more than one nationality.

Yugoslavia was Europe's specific country. There was no country with as many nationalities (apart of CCCR) and most importantly, the three major religion coexisted in Yugoslavia, especially in Bosnia. Now, it's not a problem to have more than one nationality living in one country if you have one majority nation, and the rest are minorities. The problem arises when there is no overpowering majority and everybody want the peace of cake. So, your logic doesn't apply to any country.

Ah, I somewhat missed you.

The alleged mixed heritage of modern Serbs is nothing more then Turk propaganda and has no basis in actual geological studies.

Inb4 he posts a pic of gypsy "people" and claims they are ethnic Serbs.

UK plays the part of Slovenia and Italy will follow Croatia. Hopefully, without the war part.

>There was no country with as many nationalities (apart of CCCR) and most importantly, the three major religion coexisted in Yugoslavia, especially in Bosnia.
And how exactly does that translate to the EU? Which country is European and muslim?

>german secret service funding independentists

Like catalans, bretons etc?
For what purpose?

No, they supported Yugo separatists.

Nothing ever really changes. Hans supports Croats, Nigel supports Serbs.

It's a typical story. When you are too comfortable in Union, sooner or later you start to think that you'll be better off on your own. Back in the USA, South wanted out but the Federal Army didn't thnk so. In Yugoslavia was the same case but America helped separatists. It will be interesting to see where America stands regarding the EU separatists.

America didn't just "help separatists". It forced the destruction of a country for the gain of a Balkan base by fucking up their economy and intelligence actions later expanding into military action after yugoslavia didn't want to bend over for the treaty of Rambouillet

No, but the UK is.

That's America's job. You can't blame them for doing it professionally. Yugoslavia's job was to resist, but instead, they made America's job easier. Kosovo is the different matter and if you were talking about Kosovo, I agree with you but it's not indicative for the EU question.

Im not really big fan of EU but comparing it to dysfunctional slavic shithole that collapsed after their only one relevant dictator who could people at bay instead of having them kill each other died.

Heh, your ignorance is only matched by your English

>USA helped separatists
USA was actually supporting Yugoslavs against Slovenes in begging

The federal Army gave up Slovenia after a few days. Slovenia wasn't so important. The problem was Croatia and the Serbian minority in Croatia. Also, USA conditioned its financial help only to "progressive states", ie, those who wanted out from Yugoslavia. At the begining, they claimed that they "don't have a dog in that fight". Later on, they got involved and it was mainly against the Serbs. They were also desperate for the war in Yugoslavia to show importance of the (unnecessary) NATO.
