There's nothing wrong with layer reports as long as they actually report on the layer and not what happened on the run. The whole point of them was to relay findings, runes or weapons, rare enemies or rooms, bosses for farming, not talking about how X died to a Madman or whatever the fuck else. Reports themselves are not the problem, it's what people are making of them.

Lore, even though we've more or less covered all the bases. No one's made any significant suggestions for some time now.
This is what I do on the rare occasions when I make reports, it doesn't need to be dressed up.

I agree, even as a frequent spelunker. 90% of content in layer reports is essentially inside jokes nobody will get unless they were there. When I hosted earlier today I tried to condense them so it wasn't filled with useless information
