dwyn is a very good friend of mine, we speak quite often actually. it was a fun time seeing him progress as a player because i remember him and fwha having tangible gains in skill as they learned more, it was really nice helping out.

kid is/was a legitimate genius actually, he's living in japan doing video game work and is finishing up some touches on his project as well, the team's all done with the bulk of the game iirc.

Easier version: you only need 1 client. log in and teleport to another zone, i.e. Ul'dah to Limsa. As teleport is casting, force quit your client. Re-open your client and log in to your second character. Player search for your first character and if you did it right you should see it.

Basically, the game doesn't log you out if you're zoning like that for some reason so you'll still show up on player search.
