We aren't being shown the metric that matters; how many VR users there are in game.

The whole point of all of this is to get people to buy VR and socialize using VR. VRChat is a free game with a $400 DLC, you might as well consider desktop users to be like people on a free trial, they don't matter except that they might become VR users.

With that in mind I think everyone can agree that there are probably 5x more VR users in VRChat now than there were in November, and most likely the concurrent VR user figures are still strong and maybe even going up since people who bought into VR are having way the hell more fun in game than the desktoppers are.

This isn't a subscription MMO, the # of players isn't that important, all that matters is that there are enough people to have a fun community, draw new people in, make cool shit, and make a case for owning VR.

I can't speak for others, but I love the wonder, discovery, and innocence of learning to make a unique avatar. It lifts my spirit to see my hard work come out and to express myself through this act of creation. To see someone be able to silently run off with my effigy of passion and discovery really cuts me deeply. I wouldn't put all of this time into my models if I didn't have emotions in it. What hurts the most is that I feel creatively stifled by this; there where so many horizons to explore, but now I'm afraid.
