I've just started playing again now that I'm an adult. Haven't played since a kid.

I've got a few things to get off my bucket list. Things I never managed to achieve as a kid:
1) get full void
2) get a fire cape
3) get 20+ mill in a clue scroll
4) get my first 99
5) maybe get a quest cape

I'm currently making a ranger style main. My plan is to get 42 attack, strength, defense and magic but get 70 range and full void then try to kill Jad for the first time.

What quests do I NEED to do for this kind of character build? So far these are the quests I plan on doing
1) animal magnetism for Ava's accumulator
2) fairytale quests for easy fairy ring teleports
3) horrors from the deep for the book
4) ghosts ahoy for ectophile easy teleport

What else should I do to help me?

Finally what bow / crossbow / shield or book should I get?
I'm not rich so I won't be able to fight Jad with anything over a million or two.

for attacking jads healers you will either want to switch to longrange with your blowpipe to feel the healers off or bring a weapon with a longer attack range
if you go on rapid to attack you will likely move close to jad requiring you to move your camera
