Flame showed up in the discord and started talking about how he got "lazy", and is leaking the patch privately to someone else, or some shit like that, and possibly not releasing it publicly. He acted ambiguous as hell as to who he was giving it to, if there is even is a person, and acting annoying basically, with everyone asking why all of a sudden and him not giving a clear answer.

Guren is still up for the patch to be out, so we don't know what the hell is the deal with Flame. Maybe he's just scaring everyone for the fuck of it, or maybe he's just trying to create drama for the sake of it, and at the worst, he's possibly gonna keep true on his word.

Yeah, when Flame says he wants to leak it, he's not talking about a public leak so we can all play it. He's saying that he'll leak it to some unidentified person/group to finish because he's lazy and it sounds like he doesn't give a crap about Geofront.

Then why bother making a rom then, at least make the translation sheet public so others can take a crack at it. Geofront had over a year with zero and at their current pace it'll be 2019 before we see zero and 2021 when we get ao

Guren stated he wanted a public release, Flame played that release of one of the final revisions and hated it; so he wanted to give it to a private group for editing - that's when all the drama started, Flame even stated that the geofront dudes have access to the private forum, if they wanted it that badly they can steal it

I think the main problem is that he's being a little too ambiguous and dodging questions about what he's doing exactly. He already played through the game entirely, so the patch should be pretty much done, and he only has to insert the last translated lines Guren did. Geofront was going to work on it regardless after they were done with Zero, and they didn't mind the release, so why flame decided to make a scene near the supposed completion feels weird.

Hopefully it's really just him handling it to someone for them to make it work.

He was being ambiguous about who he is giving it to, and making it private for some reason, but if the person he gives it to does just finish it up and give it publicly we will get it. The problem is that he was acting weirdly like a brat in there with his "cooperation is overrated".

Which feels really out of the blue considering he didn't have any strong feelings on the translation quality. According to him he was handling the bugs and crashes, but he never really said anything about the TL being horrid, in fact he was cool with it being rough but accurate.

just play the modern games IMO, if you really like the series; you'd go back and play the older games

If you want to follow the story, play Ys 1 and 2.

After that the story kinda doesn't matter the order you do it. So my suggestion is to play through the games on the engines they were based on.

After 1 and 2, play Ark, Oath and then Origin.

And then you move on to the party system ones, 7, Celceta and 8.

You could also check out 5 i guess, but some say it's not that great. I think it's on the snes.

No, they're working with PSP and PC specifically. Zander seems like just a retard who speaks for people and babblers on about shit he doesn't get. They never had a problem with the version itself, they're even borrowing the voice work present in it, but their focus is not for Evo.

I hope the AO patch comes out soon I would really enjoy playing it.

I prefer how the trading quest works in Zwei: AA because there's less things to trade and less confusing logic for who wants an item, but the reward in Zwei: II is so much better.

I managed to dig up a Japanese new game plus save for CS on the PS3. That's one thing the PS4 can't do now since all saves are encrypted and you can't resign saves. Shame.

I used cheat engine instead because NG+ saves screw up the order of the fishes in the game, so you can fish the second to last fish in the game right from the start for example.

Is gurumin good? I played Oath in Felghana and Origins recently and they were fun, now I'm looking for something similar in gameplay and the cuteness makes it look appealing to me.

Flame is mentally retarded and shouldn't have anything to do with the fan translation scene in any medium.

It's similar to Zwei 2, but way more simple i feel. It's basically a cute adventure game, with a simple story, and really sucky voice acting for both English and japanese for some reason.

I buy my games from GoG. I prefer the lack of DRM on them with the installer since i like to take the game around on my laptop.

Gurumin's fun and decent, but one of Falcom's weaker games from the era. The story's lighter than it should be, regular combat's a dull distraction from platforming, and camera controls are often unwieldy even on a dual-stick pad. Expect some well-designed bosses, repetitive but varied levels, and a killer soundtrack which kind of threw out the Sound Team jdk rulebook (in a great way).

Not actually that hard. You'll reach your low 30s after beating the first of them, within which you get the last Arcanum (though the boss at the end's gonna pose a big threat).

Zerker says he and his team will work on Ao regardless of what happens now, so we'll play the edited version in 2020. Sen 3 likely won't be out by then, so it's fine.
