i dont think this is how assassin hunt is meant to be played

I'm trying to create my own independent kangdom but I need advice. I only have 20 something troops, and 3k gold due to collecting taxes for a king.

build productive enterprises in cities to generate a constant income >take a walk on the streets >find the guy named guildmaster >'I'd like to buy land for a productive enterprise' >your relationship with the lord of that city must be above 0, do quests for them if it is negative >make initial investment >wait a week >start collecting dosh >make an enterprise in every city (you can usually only make one) >dyeworks in rivacheg makes like 1.3k profit a week and costs 10,000 gold upfront to start >start there and keep going around to other cities setting up enterprises, (dyeworks is usually best, but check other options anyway) >you need this income to sustain moderate/large armies of elite troops in the midgame before you get fiefs

I'm posting Cao Cao in honour of the poster who was posting in honour of the original Cao Cao poster until we get a good Romance of the three kingdoms mod.
Justin Cook
elaborate?
Ian Evans
I see. Since I don't have 10k for that I'll keep it mind. I could keep what I got but I'd ruin the relationship with the king of the Rhodiks I have, and more importantly I do not see where I can get another 7000 gold from. How much gold can I get from harassing Nordscum/Sultanate/Mongol caravans?
Austin Hernandez
>kill big (20+)party of sea raiders >sell all their weapons and armor rinse and repeat, should be 500-1000 for each battle great way to level people up
also surgery is incredibly important with high surgery your troops are far less likely to die in battle, and will instead be knocked unconscious there is a surgeon companion that you should try and locate, his name is Jeremus. Companions can be found in taverns. Or you could just be your own surgeon, but that will take a lot of points in INT.
William Watson
I know about companions, and now is the time to go up north and rape sea raiders. Thanks.
Liam Jenkins
If that's 1860 Old America I'll rip your head off.
Benjamin Brown
(checked) oh one more trick, don't kill the sea raider base it will make them spawn less
Andrew Thompson
Thanks. I just got Lezalit and Ymira in my company now. Guess that will help.

>I have a lot of time for Mount & Blade – it’s a great hybrid game that deserved to have more resources thrown at it than it’s had up till now. Why Bannerlord is taking so long, we’ll probably never know, but in the meantime here’s something that might scratch that itch.
>I’ll be honest “Mount & Blade but with Politically Correct Guerrillas” is not something I thought I’d ever have to type, but here we are. Freeman: Guerrilla Warfare has just launched into Steam’s Early Access program, and is a Mount & Blade style sandbox FPS/RPG where you take control of a guerrilla faction and fight to free the local area from oppression. And by ‘Free’, we mean take over everyone’s stuff.
>It’s intriguing, and the modern-era setting makes for some very different tactics than you’d ever encounter in its medieval counter-part. There’s a strategy layer to it as well that we’ve yet to explore – look out for some preview coverage on this at the end of the month.
Joseph Reyes
So that you accidentally miss click it and waste your denars and a week of your virtual character's life or maybe some seconds of your real life as you savescum the mistake.
Joshua Collins
I did find a city where the grain does give me at least 108 gold. That's okay I guess.
Owen Russell
>Guerrillas >Politically correct.
Have they made mention of what the setting of their game is and how does it go? They are slavs I think, yes?
Xavier Rodriguez
>made a headshot >it was my own mercenary horseman's horse >the sea raiders then killed him I also go through manhunters and slave drivers by the day. Why are they so frail?
Asher Perry
You're just a crappy leader.
Shitty shot it as well, it seems.
Angel Watson
It's not my fault the hunters and drivers are weak. >Shitty shot it as well, it seems. There was no reason for it happening.
Joseph Foster
I can't seem to capture noble ladies in Dickplomacy.
I'm not even getting the dialogue to take them for ransom.
Ryan Flores
Nevermind, managed to figure it out.
For reference, from the readme... "Vassals can now capture ladies after sieges. To capture a lady you must be the one that has taken the castle, and you must either request the castle for you or your spouse. (if you "request nothing" or are a mercenary, you cannot capture any prisoners. If the castle is not granted to you, any ladies held there will be set free by the new lord.)"

>While it's a modern combat game with guns and grenades instead of horses and swords, it's still extremely Mount & Bladey. >It's, like, waaaaay Mount & Bladey. Quality journalism as always. Concept looks interesting if they eventually decide to release SP content though
Logan Powell
I think it's only SP at the moment.
Connor Green
Yeah looks like it from the steam page, the article wasn't really clear on this. I think I'll watch some gameplay if only to see what the gun-feel is like.
Christian Jackson
That's actually a good one I'm impressed Carlos

Thoughts on the Calradia at war mod?

Much less clunky than ARMA, which is nice. It's more arcade-y overall.
Isaiah Perry
DW9 is open world, we’re almost there.
Leo Hughes
why aren't there more M&B-likes? this Armaband game is the only one I've seen to actually use the campaign map and faction system from warband instead of just the combat. it seems like an easy system to copy.
Sebastian Clark
Dwarf Fortress mod for Mount and Blade when? I want to head into the caverns and fight forgotten beasts with my dwarven army
Grayson Butler
Just play dworf then
Jayden Perry
check out Knights of Honor, it uses similar campaign system like Mount&Blade
Jacob Gomez
It's nothing like M&B though, what ere you smoking senpai? It's basically a RTS Total War.

>there are mods for DF Isn't the game autistic enough?
>Dark Ages III: War & Mythos [44.05] [v37e] [64-bit] has been released. You sure you're playing it as 64bit?
AoM is great, you should try Titan Quest if you haven't already, it's a diablo-like RPG set in mythological greece Yes I am, it might be because I used DFhack over it which might have fucked something up.
Ethan Miller
There's an army model traveling on the overworld map. That's pretty much the only similarity.
Thomas Richardson
I'm posting The Humungus, The Lord Humungus, The Warrior of the Wasteland, The Ayatollah of Rock and Rolla in honour of the original Humungus poster until we get a good post-apocalyptic mod.
