artillery is more important and varied in Napoleon, the Russian unicorn is god tier. FotS is the most fun and more of a visual joy though.

Even their T1 Saurus infantry are so OP you can just keep them forever, honestly Lizardmen are too strong and simple to be really enjoyable.
But to answer you question, Kroq-gar offers far better bonuses and comfy starting location in ME. But roleplay-wise, you're just a genocide tool so Lord Pepe should be more fun

I know the novel doesn't neccessarily fabricate his actions and allegiances, but his character is portrayed to be brutish, unrefined and witless which just could not have been the case for someone born to his station. It's a shame because his actions probably make more sense if we had a closer insight into his character and not a propaganda piece that just muddies the water. He's by no means the only one who got this treatment either, but I think a lot of the confusion surrounding his motivations stem from it whereas the myths don't really confuse the stories of the other characters.
