I know most of you guys are focused on D23 or KHUx or whatever, but I am genuinely curious about something. As one of the people who has helped crack open KH2.8, is there something anyone here is interested in knowing about 0.2?
In case nobody figured it out already, 0.2 was effectively the intro of KH3 cut out and sold for $60. We have substantial proof pointing toward this via 0.2 files, but I digress. How interested would anyone here be in knowing some hidden stuff that lurks inside 0.2?

First off, 0.2 was originally bbs volume 2. A game that was never made due to various reasons
Second, 0.2 being the original intro of kh3 isn't news. Nomura mentioned that they planned it but decided against it and put it as it's own short game with 2.8.
Third, the game was sold with DDD and the ux movie. Don't go implying that it was sold for 60 dollars by itself

Luxu uses some generic NPC model for his face because we were never intended to see it anyway, what with the shading inside the hood. But there's a plethora of things. KH3 Sora's model is referenced numerous times, though no textures or model exist. There is also button mapping for a Windows and Xbox version of 0.2. Combo magic exists as well via text strings. Stuff like AeroIce, AeroFire.

I know about Volume 2. But it had no mention past the secret ending of BbS until 0.2's announcement. It also doesn't appear to be widely known that it was the intro to KH3. Last, my implication was aside from a decent at best movie, 0.2 I'd the only new thing in 2.8, which was $60.

At this point in time, most long time fans have played DDD on the 3DS, and with no story and very few mechanical changes on the PS4 release, most people paid $60 just for 0.2.

Not really. I want to see what the Riku model in the RoD looked like, but anything else interesting has already been shown. Aqua hasn't been ripped for SFM porn so it's not really worthwhile. Plus 0.2 wasn't the only thing on the disc, you should know that.

Sorry, forgot to answer your first question. Sound files are a bit finicky, but we're working on UI stuff currently. We have animations, FMV replacement, models, and model textures, but maps and sounds are on lockdown for now. But we're trying nonetheless.

Unfortunately, I don't pay attention to KHInsider, KH13, or other groups like that. My experience with them has been unfruitful. I know it's old news, but when I've tried telling others who didn't know, they'd get defensive and jump on the "NUH UH, IT WAS ALWAYS PLANNED TO BE SEPARATE BECAUSE BBS VOLUME 2"

BbS Volume Two was intended to be happen, but got shelved. Then it would have been salvaged as an intro for KHIII, but Nomura decided to make it standalone as a "prologue" chapter for 2.8

So it was separate, then it wasn't, and now it's separate again.

Guys, I'm finally able to compete. Finally, after being a lucklet for a full fucking year and not being able to do anything since I never got any kairis. I now have KEX, XEX and fully guilted HD leon, Days Riku, HD Antiform Sora, HD Vanitas, HD Larxene, Boss Marluxia and not guilted HD Zexion.
I'm so happy I can do Colosseum stuff and event quests.

Who is responsible for the KHUX story because they have absolutely no notion of pacing or character development. Literally all they would've needed to do was introduce stalker-chan earlier and do nothing for a while then kill her off and it would have meant something. meanwhile we're supposed to randomly care about random keyblade wielders who don't have names or personality yet the few random characters that player was trying to be friends with are completely forgotten as is the fact that no one was supposed to be friends because of union competitions. and then 3 months of backtracking the same disney worlds turned nanny-state levels of political correctness. can't wait for that Abu character again, really cracked me up.

It's impossible to have introduced Strelitzia earlier.

She's a new character for Union χ[Cross]. The story up to that point (which is still going on in Player's perspective) was set in stone in 2015 when χ[chi]'s story and service were ended.

Well since they now actually list the probabilities they likely either removed the weighted pulls to avoid getting into deep shit from data miners if it's found out they're doing a Destiny 2, or more likely they just removed the quota filling for the start of a banner since it was too easy for players to exploit. They might have left the quota based weighting near the end of banners if it exists at all.

The point is to have a character that is around for more than 3 story snippets before killing them off. They should have kept her around for a few more story updates, they could have all been as flashbacks, then it would've been at least somewhat of an impact.
It's not like there was any rush for the JP version to be stuck in Agrabah filler for months. Saying 'oh look here's an unknown love interest, now she's dead. feel sad' is just like 'oh here's an unknown super villain behind everything, he dies the same scene he's introduced and the story forgets about him' or 'here is a legendary weapon stronger than anything, it's weaker than a weapon you buy in a shop right afterward'.

The point of Strelitzia wasn't for us to have a love interest and be heartbroken when she's snatched away. She's not Aerith.

She's the victim of a murder and the crux of her role is facilitating that mystery. Her purpose is to create a situation where someone in the Union Leaders doesn't belong there.

She can't have been allowed to make it to the meet-up for this to happen, and she can't have met any of the Leaders, or Player, or else the jig would be up the moment everyone was together.

That shit is the worst. This is why a game's story shouldn't focus around using a super weapon to defeat the big bad. The only time it ever works is if it's given to you at the start of the game, and upgrades as the story progresses. Kingdom Hearts and Xenoblade Chronicles are the only ones I can remember doing it like that.

Stop confusing gameplay with story. Some things you just have to ignore due to the nature of video games.

Again there was no suspense built or plot developed. It tries too hard to make it matter, using 1-sided stalking, acting like she might be the talking before the marluxia reveal, forcing marluxia to be the obvious suspect like a pup named scooby doo villain. This is like a child coming up with a plot of 'the person dies, oh and they were important somehow, and this guy walks away wiping blood from his hands but I'm not saying whose blood it is.'

I cannot think of a worse way to force this story than what happened.

There is no reason why it can't be done aside from a lack of forethought. Have the ultimate weapon break or be lost or drained of power before shoving in more powerful weapons. Have the ultimate weapon be upgraded as you go, or have it be objectively the best weapon but balance it with something like slowing you down or hurting you while using. Hell if plenty of games can have fine combat mechanics and gameplay without having alternative weapons then it can easily be done with upgradable weapons as long as its not a linear progression.

Which is why it was retarded. Rewatch it, it's the only reason why they shoehorn in her supposedly being a union leader in and didn't immediately introduce the 5th Ava-boy on screen in the scene.
