You must play a class you enjoy and that fits your abilities to handle its combos.
Try out these:
>Tamer >Kuno >Maehwa >Valk >DK
These are all good at 1v1 with some counters (except tamer and valk, these are hardly possible to counter, but valks combos are aids)
Do not play Witch. Do NOT play ranger or sorc, ever.

Witch is strong at PvE, but the worst 1v1 class.
Ranger was good when the game was +15 Yurias only, but has since then been utter shit(and also becomes a melee)
Sorc was very strong for a long time but PA ruined the class

49 means no pvp yet, new players seem to think getting pk'd is a huge deal when it's not, the only utility to no-pk is transporting crates and not getting pk'd while fishing (but people can kidnap you anyways)
