I don't like what happened with MHWorld. Game is now too popular which means Capcom will listen (because they love to hear popular feedback) to the retards who complain game is too hard etc and they will inevitably water it even further down. I don't like the fact that when playing online all people do is just randomly bash and don't care about positioning or anything else for that matter.

How does the blast dust effect from IG works? Sometimes it deals 12 damage sometimes it does 100-120.
I was thinking it was the buildup I'm seeing from stats but I'm pretty sure the blast does 100-120 damage right after the dust appears.

Capcom is trying to cater to the West as much as possible. Which means balance patches and DLC/Expansions instead a new full fledge game every year.

Blast works like any other status. It does nothing until it builds up to a certain threshold and then it explodes once it builds up enough.

Pretty sure you unlock trading carts by doing prowler OR hub missions. The old Generations info should still be accurate for unlocking early game shit.

Cats are pretty useful if you know how to equip them. If you're playing GS then how about giving them sleep weapons for bombs?
If you don't want to deal with the cat system then maybe just download some DLC cats and hire those or ask someone online to gift you their cat.

Best all purpose general BM armor is Ceanataur and Rath for both HR and G.
The best HR GS set would be the Black set, but farming for that might not be worth it if you rush to g-rank since it requires you to gather non-monster parts.

Just use Athena's ASS if you want to make a GS clownsuit with focus and crit draw.

Honestly the most disappointing thing in the game is that all the meals look the same

3u is the best Monster Hunter along with MHFU. 3u got everything balanced almost perfectly and the graphics are atmospheric too. Great music to accompany great environments. I played it almost 3000 hours. Shame the online is dead though if you are on Wii U. I'd take 3U any given day over MHWorld.
But if you are interested just download CEMU and get the 3U iso somewhere. It runs 60 fps on decent machine.

Forgot to add - I'm not sure how important status attack boosts are on Gunlance but I guess that depends of your playstyle.
For both Gunlances and Lances you will need to build your armor set around the specific weapon. And as with Lance, you will need to have few different weapons for different monsters and situations. It's fun to build the sets.

Isn't that the one that boost explosive barrels and shit? What use does that have specifically for a gunlance? Also, if you want to have fun and shell, Handicraft isn't useless since the only GL that has maximum sharpness is Nerg's, which has pretty bad shells.

Overhead if you have time and won't get fucked over by the vertical range. Thrust is quicker and straighter but also weaker so it's a play by play decision.

Yes it is used to accompany BLAST GUNLANCE so you can light up barrel bombs with wyvern fire.

Handicraft is useless completely in MHWorld because it's only high rank game, monsters die really easily anyway.
