This might be a dumb question but does New Leaf save your game on an SD card or is everything on the game cartridge itself?
Just wondering if it's somehow possible to retrieve the save file if you still have your console and just lost the cartridge...

If you own it digitally, it saves it to the system I believe.

Anyone else notice a decline in how many people play or how regularly they do after events? Feels like it's a struggle getting enough help for the quarry despite asking half my friends list.

Not just with this game, but any game that has grindy events tends to burn me out, so afterwards I put minimal effort into it so I can take a break and play something else a bit. Depending on the game and the frequency of the events, I may end up only playing the game during the events because I still have other stuff I want to enjoy but don't want to miss out on event stuff.

Yes, the moment Lottie's bat event ended I pretty much stopped playing since there was nothing for me to do anymore. But it's probably difficult to balance how often you can run new stuff because some players are really begging for less events. These are all replies from Twitter to the teaser picture with the crystals.

So on one hand they need to keep new content coming or the more active players will start playing less and less when they're running out of things to do. On the other hand the casual players who struggle to even complete events get burned out and become frustrated when they're bombarded with new events and new quests to complete. How can you ever satishy both these groups at the same time?

The people in that image are irrelevant. They neither want to play the game nor pay into it, wanting AC:PC to be something you pop open maybe 20 minutes a week, take a few cute screenshots, and you're done. If you play even semi-regularly, leaf tickets are a non-issue, but people play the gardening events once or twice during the whole week and think, "Wow, these catch rates are fucked!"

Mobile games aren't supposed to be played like MMOs. You're not supposed to drain your whole phone battery on a mobile game cause it takes a solid hour to do what needs to be done each time you open it. They're correct for feeling drained. Pocket Camp takes fucking longer than New Leaf took me daily to accomplish even less, because of always on loading bullshit and 1 by 1 Quarry requests and needing my attention every three fucking hours.

How do they make it more mobile without adding stamina? More limited requests, limited bugs per hour? It's already got a hidden stamina/fatigue system like PAD and DFO.
