When's the next CXBX Reloaded progress report?

Second and final bump.

Game starts installing in RPCS3 before the controller initializes, preventing me from confirming installation. Any way around this?

...

Solid 8 fps.

"initializes" how? set up the controller before starting the game

So I just upgraded to a 4k monitor and remember hearing about super accurate emulator filters I could use at this res. What's the scoop?

all fiters are shit fuck off retrotard

So what happens in HIGAN if you make a custom resolution of 60.09Hz?

The controller is set up. It works just fine with other games I've tried, but when I try it with this one (Ar Nosurge) there's no reaciton.

>what happens if you use Higan?

It stutters and is generally unpleasant to use?

Thats real interesting but that was a question for non cum gargling faggots so please refrain from replying to me again.

Did you search on their discord/github? The discord also has a dedicated active help channel.

Front Mission Gun Hazard is the last game I beat via emulation. Decent game, but way too much padding.

I love my Ryzen 5 2400G with Radeon Vega graphics!

Does AMD have some sort of special advantage when it comes to emulation?

...

It's cheaper and performs well enough.

Given that emulation has stagnated until recently with Xenia/RPCS3/Cemu/Yuzu/maybe Citra, anything under the sun should suffice for older systems.

>inb4 you're wrong amd shill look at my IPC with mednafen psx and angrylion

Yeah it sucks

But you're wrong though.

Yeah it has the special advantage of sucking ass
gtfo amd shill stop trying to fool newbies into buying your shit

I wish. On that super amazing CEMU update last month I was promised twice the framerates and then told "oh you have an AMD GPU, you're fucked".

>Does AMD have some sort of special advantage when it comes to emulation?

Less glitches in CEMU

Does cemu use vulkan, if yes, then having an amd gpu shouldn't be a problem.

It uses OpenGL, and the amd opengl drivers on windows are garbage.
There's plans for a vulkan renderer iirc but it's still years away

This is probably a long shot but is there a way to get P64k to recognize these roms on netplay? They are Mario Kart modded roms.

I tried using GoodN64 but it didn't recognize them to rename them either.

Is this piece of shit worth anything?

Gotta love the game folders meme: hacks, mods, invalid CRCs need not apply!

How would I go about organizing no-intro sets into US, EUR and Japan releases, I don't want to delete files just move them to separate folders, the wiki mentions dat o matic no intro but nothing about the process itself..

What would you do for a game that has one rom between US/Japan?

Why does that matters? I just want them to be organized by regions.

>place them all in a single folder
>search folder for (USA)
>select all
>move somewhere else
>repeat for each region
>manually move the multi region files by hand

This works but then you could move other non intended files.
There is a way to do this automatically using rom managers and DAT files.

(region) will only pick up roms tagged with that, and there are zero games in the no-intro collection with (region) in their name that aren't tagged that way, so I'm sure you'll be fine. If you want to fuck around with managers, go read a faq.

>(region) will only pick up roms tagged with that
No, it doesn't, Windows search (Japan) will show anything with the word 'Japan' on it, not just (Japan) which isn't reliable.

Use a Python script or something. But like I said earlier, there are games with one rom between regions(Labelled, for example, "(USA, Japan)"). What would you do for those?

Move them to a preferred region, in this case would be USA, isn't that hard and rom managers can do it because I've read of people doing it.
I just don't know how.

>not using playlists
Why?

If you can't help shut up.

Oh, you're retarded. Ayy, carry on kiddo.

I bet you felt really smug posting this crap but you only come out as a lonely fuck waiting for someone to throw you a bone so you can reply with some witty comment so you can try and feel better about yourself.
I bet you do it quite often too and probably very likely just browse this general to shitpost in a daily basis.

Heh, looks like I hit a nerve.

You sure do, I bet the feel like you're winning something is alleviating.

ICH BIN WÜTEND

WÜTEND AUFGRUND VON EMULATOREN

When are we getting a ps2 emulator that isn't reliant on plugins and having to do 1000 configurations for every single game you want to play?

When Ryphecha rises from the grave and saves PS2 emulation.

Yeah, they are competent. They wrote a godly opengl renderer. Not their fault your drivers are shit.

Does byuu still post on /a/?

Well, I'll get a modded ps2 then.

Not that guy, I'm nvidia.

citra problem
i try to start bravely default but i can't because there aren' mii data files
how do i fix this?????

>a ps2 emulator that isn't reliant on plugins
Where's the problem here?

>having to do 1000 configurations for every single game you want to play?
Just use the Software Renderer

When you convince the RPCS3 devs to make one.

Mommy took the safety mitts off and the first thing you decide to do is shit up our thread?

>look mommy, ahm postin on Veeky Forums!

instead of embarrassing yourself and sperging out, you could just admit that your cpu is too shit to handle software rendering and move on.

>now Billy, what do you say when they make fun of your emulator
>u-use da sofware rendera
>you're such a big boy

Recaptcha will save N64 emulation first.

Ryphecha can't (or won't) into dynarecs

It's fine just get whatever the current gen flagship intel cpu is.

For LLE PS2? I'm skeptical. I mean, the PS2 CPU is about one order of magnitude faster than the PS1 (and the GPU is both faster and much more complex) so I'd expect mednafen-PS2 to be roughly one order of magnitude more CPU-intensive than mednafen-PSX.

Does Citra not work with PS4 controllers? I try to bind controls to it, and everything gets registered to Joystick 0 Axis -4.

>everything gets registered to Joystick 0 Axis -4.
Calibrate your controller/increase deadzones.

UN Squadron and other shooting games have tons of slowdown.

That did the trick, at least with all the Nintendo no intro sets.

>people are still using Lunar IPS when Floating IPS exists

Yeah I have tried re-calibrating using the windows tool a couple of times, but doesn't seem to help. How do I go about increasing the deadzones? I

works fine for me with ryochan's ds4windows fork.

Once CXBX Reloaded works, I'll finally be able to play all the game I got into emulation to play in the first place. God willing, I'll never come to this shithole again.

So the 3 shitbox exclusives worth playing?

Doing a google search, it lead me to a reddit thread where people were also having the same issue as I am. Looks like the suggested """fix""" is having a DS4 layout to match the Citra default buttons. I really only want to play Rune Factory and Radiant Historia, so I guess that will work.

>ponies STILL butthurt about the Xbox decades later

>How do I go about increasing the deadzones?

God bless you, user

Don't throw shit if you don't want it thrown back at you.

Not him, just can't stand console ebin console warz.

Yes we're all jealous of the shitbox, and the vita, and the wiiu, and 32x, and dreamcast, and saturn, and virtual boy.

Who's we? Do sony ponies think of themselves as a collective? That's creepy.

so in CEMU certain sound effects in TPHD (mostly things like sword hits (but only some of them) or lighting things with the lantern) cause a really loud pop along with them
it sounds like something is being over-amplified
stuff like this happened every so often in BotW, but not all the time
anyone know if there's a way to fix it?

Under normal circumstances, pops/crackles would be the emulator falling below 100% speed, but cemu is several years from being reasonably playable that I couldn't tell you exactly what the problem is in that specific situation.

Do you have the "Use RDTSC" option on?

I have custom timer set to RDTSC 1x, yeah

Aren't there more mixed combinations though? I'm pretty sure I've seen some (Japan, Korea) before in the NES set
