if i got a slugger boosting gem, and i'm using a lance, is it doing nothing for me? i gather a lance is not doing ko damage to begin with, so this gem will have no effect, right?

Stay away from health rec horns, a SnS with wide area does that niche better than you for days. Defense XL should only be considered for tempered black diablos, tempered kush, and tempered teo so people don't die from stupid shit. Only bring elemental up if you've noticed your teammates taking elemental weapons. Don't take Teostra's horn for Vaal, it's not worth the loss in damage from not having XL

And for the love of poogie do not corner horn.

Are you playing in a group, or solo? If you are in a group I would consider maybe getting some Evasion Window/Wide Range etc. and sacrifice maybe a bit less damage. It is hard to give suggestions if we don't know what gear you are using and what you can swap out.

Just fight him with your cat. You'll have more control over where he goes. Part of the problem with fighting nerg as a team is that if you spread out at all he's going to jump all over the fucking place, while if you all bunch up together he's going to dive-bomb the whole party, potentially triple carting on the spot.

It does a surprising amount of KO. I use it when I can get it off on a monster's head, nets me a KO sometimes.

I'm going to try out a cheesy IG build focused around attacking with a Blunt Kinsect (L2 + Triangle spam). Other than making a IG with Blunt Boost, which decorations or armor skills actually affect the Kinsect's damage/status (ex: KO decoration) ??

Also, if I add an Element to the Kinsect (thus removing some of his Power stat) does that negatively affect his KO capabilities?
