Elite Dangerous is currently on v2.4 "The Return" - now with more ayys. The 3.0 beta is now over and the next expansion named "Beyond" is on the way. It will be free to everyone who bought Horizons and aims to focus on refining core gameplay and new content.
Thargoids have now crippled all AEGIS-related starports in the Pleiades and are rumored to be headed towards human space. The starports are allegedly more difficult to repair than they were to build in the first place so don't expect them back online anytime soon.
Upcoming improvements promised by fdev that didn't make it into the beta: Increase in low tier materials storage such that you carry 300/250/200/150/100 for rarity 1 through 5 respectively. Doubling of module storage to 120. The new engineering diminishing returns system will no longer stall module upgrade progress just short of 100% Buffs to the Asp Explorer so that it's no longer outclassed by the cheaper DBX Buffs to the Asp Scout so that it resembles something less like a useless turd Buffs to the Type-7 so jump range is less garbage and there's a reason to use it over the Python
Remember that FDev is pathologically incapable of keeping promises so expect that some or all of these will be rescinded.
Nathaniel Morris
Best ship to mess around in, prove me wrong.
Michael Cooper
In E:D even organic aliens have industrial design lines loool
David Long
I want one of these so bad...
Jordan Johnson
>lakon >organic aliens ??? are you being stupid on purpose?
I prefer courier desu
Cameron Morgan
Its probably my second favourite. I prefer the blue streaks on the eagle and its small size.
Ayden Thomas
Is the corvette worth the rep grind? I have the anaconda at the moment.
Lucas Edwards
idk but it looks so fuckinig good
Grayson Sanders

Aaron Turner

I think about that cone in my dreams
Austin Cruz
It's definitely the apex PvE ship, but unless you REALLY want it, no. It's not that big of a difference IMO.
While I enjoy the Corvette, I regret grinding for the Cutter, such a letdown
Ryder Phillips
Small ships are definitely the best. I mess around in a shieldless sidewinder with enforcers, shit is cash
Gabriel Gray
I spent 100 million in rebuys for my imperial eagle so far. I might try out the sidewinder in a while. Just need to engineer my power distributor and try a few more rolls for my engines.
Landon Reed
3.0 when?
Oliver Flores
Chieftain with 4 long range rails and plasma slugs for pve, y/n?
Connor Gutierrez
Have you got the Enhanced Performance Thrusters? (they work for Imp Eagles too)
Dirty Drives on those and you've got a sidewinder doing 660 m/s with insane turns (which are already good)
Landon Brooks
>double dead How can games die before they've even been finished?
Robert Torres
Yeah 850 boost speed. Might try to increase it soon one I start grinding missions in sol
Blake Hill
There's no point in playing either game unless you can get others to validate your insane opinions about one or the other.
I still haven't bought that FAS...
Joshua Morris
I bought the three federal ships but still haven't taken them out of the shioyard
Ian Morales
6 months
Jace Roberts
That's 3.1 in SC.
Justin Sullivan
The FAS is fun, the Dropship is good and tanky. The Gunship is a flying meme. Try it with all pack-hounds.
Gavin Taylor
Yeah I only used the federal memeship once with just multicannons
Zachary Evans
I want to fug a cutter.
Jaxon Miller
Couldn't be bothered grinding for packhounds
James Gonzalez
Gay
Kevin Carter
>grind
It's only the time of it really that's bad. Once three weeks have passed pledged to Li Yong Rui (during which you don't have to do anything), you then go find an anarchy system 'controlled' by an enemy power (Mereboga is one, it's controlled by Edmund Mahon the fat Alliance fucker) and interdict and kill 25 'Transport ships' (their faction will be Edmund Mahon or whatever, for reference). Turn in the 750 merits you'll have to one of your power's controls. And then just wait for your fourth week to come around, buy the modules, then leave forever.
Adam Sanchez
I liked the gallery
Jace Jones
Oh I thought it would be a grind to unlock it
Jayden Martinez
Ships are usually refered in female pronouns, you sexist fuck.

It takes breathtakingly incompetent developers. How we nailed two games in the same general using Capt. Kanagaroo as a management style, is anyone's guess.
Jonathan Powell
>Capt. Kanagaroo Sounds Japanese.
Owen Johnson
Ship explosions cause damage(or maybe i just got hit with debrie) Losing a gun makes your other guns shoot faster AI turret gunners are terrifying when they show up to work AI can do flyby power management
So when will we be able to play this Ponzi scheme?
Joshua Jenkins
Fuck. I was hoping no one noticed. Have something obnoxious for your trouble.
Isaac Foster

Did derek smurt do anything funny recently? It's lonely without about the best shill Star Citizen ever had.
Gavin Bell
the absolute state of cultists
Zachary Ross
Probably in about two weeks
Bentley Martin
Reliably and with some things of interest to do? Probably your best bet is to give it another year. By then they 'should' have gameplay mechanics, a larger map, interface refinements, and fps improvements implemented into the game.
Of course, if you mean when the whole thing will be playable, you'd be as in the dark as the rest of us. They have a considerable amount of work to do, and have spent the past couple of years developing the tools and framework which they can work from to help them flesh out what is left of the game. But it is going to be in the 2020s when we can call the game 'feature complete'.
Carson Collins
>be derek >be so bitter as to spend endless hours on Veeky Forums shit-talking a game, that even in alpha shits on anything developed by himself >do it because no one would know he he was otherwise the absolute state of faildevs
Mason Lopez
No matter your opinion, dude has got some fanboys, like . He doesn't even need to make a game for people to keep talking about him. Not a millionaire anymore, but people still use his first and last name. What is his actual deal?
Julian Ortiz
Chris is living his dream and banging his waifu
I'd be driven to insanity too
Matthew Cox
>unfortunate shit happens That's not really the point. Him being insane isn't the point. He has a Howard Stern effect where the people that hate him are what is propelling him forward. My question is why? Why do you care about a hilarious failure that is literally wrong every time? Is it some self affirmation that you might be a piece of shit, but you're not a DS level piece of shit?
Angel Lopez
it's entertaining, and a little schadenfreude too I guess
Plus there's literally nothing else to talk about until CIG actually makes a game
Jace Gomez
>schadenfreude I keep forgetting that is a word.
Nolan Sullivan
>reminder derek is helping Star Citizen with fanatic devotion He pretend to be a developer and claim everything Star Citizen try to do is impossible, making SC look better achieving anything He pretend they are a scam in shitty way so everyone feel reassured when CIG promise look more literate and ethical. He keep asking everyone to refund early now that SC have all the money they need so they'll have to pay more to get back later when CIG raise the game price to 80$ (I'm pretty sure that should count as insider trading). He do all that advertising for Star Citizen with its own money so CIG can look like the righteous victim without paying 100M in advertising.
And right now he support Crytek's exclusive stupidity in their lawsuit so no one pay attention to the infractions that could stick.
Gavin Price
Bump the thread CIG. You are the ones here for the ego stroke.
no but i do have an anaconda firing all of its yellow plasma accelerators at another anaconda firing all of its yellow plasma accelerators

derek smart is how the cult channels their cognitive dissonance. like the hatred sessions in 1984. it lets them be angry while staying in line.
Jonathan Rodriguez
The Reclaimer landing gear in Calling All Devs was pretty cool actually.
