Banshee's ability creates weak points with a flat damage multiplier, but that damage is still mitigated by armor. user's suggestion would make hits on the puncture weak points completely unmitigated by armor so it would, in most cases, be better than banshee's ability.

i always imagine puncture as going str8 thru armor and tearing a bit of it away (visually) and then you can shoot the flesh underneath

I was expecting a little more, too. Like, at least another +2 limbs or whatever to take down, though I guess the night cycle time constraint might've been a concern . I'm also really disappointed in how predictable the spawning mechanic turned out to be. Had hoped for something more emergent-feeling, like, you're dicking around way deep into the plains when suddenly all the Grineer freak out and one pops up. Or, like, multiple Eidolons simultaneously (and maybe hostile to each other or something).
