Hey guys i’m a QA tester at blizzard and i’m here to tell you guys about what has been planned for overwatch.
Hero 27:
Hero 27 will be Liao, He studies cryogenics. He is a Ice based character similar to Mei, although completely different.
Liao will be a defensive character with his primary fire being “Glacier Touch” which deals dot and is on a recharge scale and has a range similar to Moira’s heal. It is a small hand gun.
His first ability is “Ice Charge” This ability will allow Liao to get full charge to his primary fire.
His second ability is “Overcoat” Liao attaches a device on a ally that gives them a ice shield for 5 second, this ice shield will reduce damage taken by 30% and will damage enemies that come in contact with your ally.
His third ability is “Frost trap” which Liao throws bots on the ground, preventing enemies from jumping. All hero’s can walk around but can’t jump.
Liao will have TWO Ultimates, his first ultimate is “Frost Charge” This allows him to unlimited primary charge and allows his ability to reset every second, active for 6 seconds.
Liaos second ultimate is “White Freeze” which increases the effect of “Overcoat” and gives a 60% damage reduction for 5 seconds, to all hero’s within a certain radius of Liao.
Hanzo rework:
For Hanzo we have been looking for a replacement for scatter arrow and we have been testing one new ability in particular. “Electric Arrow” This new replacement arrow deals the same damage as Scatter Arrow but it is in bursts. It can electrify the ground, wall or even a hero.
Hero 28:
We have also been testing a Character who is in predevelopment, we have a name (can be changed) “Artemis”. She is a offense hero with a crossbow. She currently doesn’t have any set abilities, although we have been trying some new abilities for her.
