It would revive at every dlc release and die shortly after, then come back for a bit of pc release. It was sort of inevitable.

Yeah I know but after I beat WotN and floor ~250 I left and that was only a couple of weeks after the last DLC came out. I played each DLC as they came out. I thought the gen would have legs with the PC release and all. it's a shame the game doesn't really lend itself to making new characters, once you move up a difficulty there's very little point in going back down unless you are a completionist. Even coop is hurt by the unlimited summon range. it has absolutely massive potential for an all time goat sequel though.

Let me clarify. I was under the impression by "le epic violence" you meant direct physical violence, as brawls and shooting and murder.
Mobs absolutely use abhorrent violence, but just as a means to and end, the end being money. As you said it, racketeering and extortion, but that's not senseless.
