Lance question.

Currently trying to build the most offensive oriented Lance set for Perdition's Hand.

So far all I can pick as far as 'BiS' peices are the Dragonking Eyepatch α & Nergigante Vambraces β.

The reasoning behind these are WE & Agitator both costing 2 'slots' worth of value, so you're getting a budget of 4 on the eyepatch + a Lv. 3 socket & a budget of 4 on the gloves + a Lv. 1 socket.

Is this a proper way to itemize?
Also is it worth going for Guard 3?

I got a tempered Kirin investigation with a 50 minute timer. Should I just use this to follow it around grabbing the tempered tracks the whole time and try to get other tempered elder investigations instead of running it normally?

Helpful, but not really necessary on gunlance. Guard 3 is mostly to meet a threshold for lance where most attacks become counterable. If you can get a few guard points, then yeah, do it, but don't sacrifice the rest of your build. I'd honestly recommend filling out the rest of your armor with Xeno parts for that sweet razor sharp. Gunlance really does need every bit of help it can get.
