KS is about as beginner as you can get to actually introduce people into VNs, not an easy task easing them in with something else

It depends how into weebshit they are really. I had a friend who refused anything that had porn elements in it. I eased him into non-porn VNs like Steins Gate then eventually he stopped caring.

If they're seriously into weebshit then its easy but its a hard sell getting people to play are basically long anime-style ebooks with pictures unless they're quite deep into it already.

DDLC is a crap way to get people into VNs anyway because it relies on the reader expecting it to be what they imagine a shitty dating sim to be and then genre shifts hard without actually showing what romance VNs can do. Its also dead short and begins with an I O U.

Steins;gate is great at showing how an amazing source material can be adapted into something that people still enjoy but is shit compared to the source.

Yeah DDLC is not a good starting point. As to the other point yeah, if they aren't the type to want to read, its a really hard sell on the genre as a whole.

This is true for Shizune because it has a lot of subtleties despite it's shortcomings, and you can see them as bright as day on a replay.
Haven't replayed Rin's, so no opinion in that.

It comes in 'parts' but it's basically one thing and Paradox is a spin off.
