Recent chapter of Ouroboros is in my top 5 for that story (so far). I fucking loved it! How can someone manage to write something so perilous and tragic but at the same time it manages to be cute and inspiring? What Max visited there was the worst case scenario, where the storm took everything, and yet things were still alright for her and Chloe. Chloe didn't even get upset that her life could have been different, she just asked some questions to give herself some closure. She was proud of the life she did have and what obstacles she and her Max had overcome. That's powerful stuff. As are the final lines of the chapter.

No. This chapter supports the idea that the Prescotts are the cause/target of the supernatural. Once that mystery is solved then things will be stabilized. Max and Chloe are at the center of something much larger than either of them. A cycle wouldn't resolve any of the issues.
