No. There was some worry every now and then about comics overshadowing the games but the comicfags respected the game discussion and the gamefags respected the comic discussion and didn't go out of their way to ruin each others' time for the most part until the comics decided to hibernate for a while.

The problem is there is now a niche created where gamefags can't turn to the games for good plots.

If SEGA released more games and had better plots for them, then I don't think there would be as much disdain for the IDW comics being different.

He says that in the title and the first part of the review, however he elaborates that he has a love/hate relationship with Sonic, and doesn't even like Sonic 2 that much. In other videos, he's displayed his lack of knowledge/care about the franchise in multiple videos, even saying that he didn't get the appeal of most of the games. He even says "I'm not a Sonic fan" twice later in the video.
