I guess it's not the BEST Valentine's day, but it's pretty close.
Also a note, I'm not critiqueanon but I've been trying to give every poem each thread a passionate (You) and I neglected the last two threads. Sorry everyone. I hope your Valentine's day has gone well.

This is written really well user. However, if you were trying to hide a message underneath the drowning, I didn't quite catch it. The first stanza is especially good at delivering first-person descriptive words.
This was pretty user. I have a soft spot for any poems directed at dokis. Nice work.
It's usually pretty hard to mix in multiple prompt words and you did it very well here user. The only thing I would watch out for is your usage of the word temple. It's not really out of place, it just feels forced because while reading I knew that it was a prompt word, so coming across it there like an answer to a written question was a little weird. I really like the ending. Great work!
I think I missed this one from last thread. This is a cool short poem. I also liked the "beating heart" line reading it in my head. Nice job.
Hey user, I gave you my opinion while you were working on it earlier as well. This is spectacular. I love it. I am surprised you managed to keep every stanza the same level of bouncy and tell a story so well. The epilogue is also really cool. Great work!
I think it's neat how you almost-repeat each last sentence. Just a tiny change from too-two makes a cool new-meaning. Watch out when rhyming "stream" to "seems" in the first stanza. I just feel like that sentence was almost like a tongue twister. Happy Valentine's user.

Good emotional poem user. I can tell where it comes from. Through first read I didn't really catch on, but after reading it twice I loved the last two stanzas. The ending is great. And the story/theme feels genuine. Hope you're holding up, too. Good work.
This is pretty cute user. And it describes the common cold so well. If you are sick, hope you get better soon.
This is a really, really sweet poem user. I related very well with the first few stanzas. I loved the use of "iron" "stone" and "thawing" in the fourth stanza. I really like where you break each line intentionally and though the poem doesn't use the classic rhyming scheme it flows really well when read aloud. Thank you.

Bad writing is the biggest turn-off for me. The magic system is needlessly complex and so it spends too much time shoving expository dialogue down your throat. Conversations tend to be long-winded and boring.

This is all just my opinion though. People can like what they like.

Cheers for the feedback lad, I didn't really try to push any kind of message with the drowning aspect. The idea of futility sort of came to me from the fact that I don't know how to swim and would sink in such a situation.
