who was the last character you fapped to in customization/training

Why aren't you playing the best Mishima?

Do you actually do that? Why?

I love Alisa!

You don't?

No because actual pornography exists

lmaoooo

Shut up you dumb idiot

Sorry, I'll shut up now.

Lee doesn't have a drop of Mishima in him
literally adopted

Why is he such an ingrate?

>hey lets make a character with more strings than Bryan and give him a hellsweep and one of the best wall combos in the game
there's no way people even like Bob, they just play him cause below red ranks nobody is going to know all of that shit if they didn't play tekken 6 or tag 2

I like Bob, he looks cool, fun to play and his back story makes me want to cheer him on.

>Get impatient and lose a mirror against a really bad Brazilian
I don't think I can sink any lower

When are we getting more Eliza porn

...

why are those penises conversing

yeah bob is cool, bryan is for fags.

>Could have called it quits when I was on an uptrend
>Push myself to play until loss
>End up getting crushed 0-2 in a pathetic way
Boy I need to really learn to quit while I'm ahead and not end every play session on a downturn

i still haven't picked a main and have instead done ranked with six separate characters, no one is lower.

I really like this picture. Mind if I save it?

Sure friend, thank you for asking. Almost improves my mood a bit about being a total shitter.

One thing I've learned about Tekken is that short sets don't prove much. I sometimes destroy people in 3-4 games in a row and then they'll turn it around completely and beat me 3-4 times in a row, and from there it's back to back usually. Those are the best kind of deathmatches where you're both figuring out your playstyles.
It's why when people winquit or losequit I get really annoyed.

>tfw I stole /tekgen/ pictures

How dare you!

MODS

So in order to get gud at this game you pretty much have to forget about playing any other video games, right? I'm 300 hours in and I'm still just a garbage Yellow-rank scrub. It's so hard to remember what strings need to be ducked, the frame data on every character's popular moves, how to properly deal with the many mix-ups characters have, knowing when to sidestep, etc etc...ugh.

I love this game but it really asks a lot of you to even be an intermediate player. More than SF4 did, at least.

...

There is some universal rules that let you get away with not being a tekken autist, like if a string it's safe it's usually ends up with a high, sometimes fuzzy guarding beats most mixups, sidestep guard when it's look like you blocked or got a hit by a move that looks like plus on block or hit . but you know when even JDCR thinks knee is a tekken autist (considering he mains half the cast and play everyday like 14 h) there is some truth that tekken it's a lot more deep in terms of knowledge

i picked up this game recently, how good is fergus character guide to go off of?

yellow rank is more than good imo
my "good" friends who play casually usually only reach green

Gives you a general idea, but it isn't 100% accurate. Best way is to watch matches of the character you're interested in.

>Hands where I can see them user
>I'm gonna shoot you AND your waifu...
>Unless you can draw your main in sixty seconds or less!
I think he's serious, man. You'd better do what he says.

cool. is bryan as hard as fergus makes him out to be?

No

No, he's pretty simple and really strong. The thing that makes him difficult is his taunt shenanigans. But that's something you can worry about later if you want to stick with the character.

...

alright sounds good to me. i saw a good amount of stuff on him in the google doc, is this video youtube.com/watch?v=83EyQCDPq94 also fine if i've never touched the character?

Jokes on you, I have a husbando

...

that video is basically this drunkardshade.com/2017/05/27/tekken-7-top-15-moves-for-all-characters/ with combos added to it. Which google doc? if it's this one
drive.google.com/file/d/0BzHi9LA5BiPUN3VRWENEUVNNZ0E/view
you'll be good

Man, the amount of effort and concentration it takes to defend against Hwoarang is so disproportionate compared to that required to actually play him.

are the combos listed there alright? and no i meant the google doc linked in the OP, the /tekgen/ info dump.

yeah those are fine
>/tekgen/ doc
Man, someone fucked up that doc

that's a shame. i hope you don't mind if i ask you some more questions, i just want to make sure i know what i'm getting into with bryan.

so a big thing i've heard about him is that most of his damage is from counter hits and his damage on normal combos and hits is kind of whatever. is that true? also that bryan is difficult to play because you have to have insanely good defense.

okay, were over 6 months out from launch.
why are laggy idiots STILL playing this game? i have a fibre connection and almost every match i get is a stuttering fuckfest.

His damage is high all around and his wall carry is good.

He isn't anywhere as difficult to play as people make him out to be. The defence argument is horseshit. People like to say characters have 'bad' defence when they lack panic moves but the reality is that a large portion of the cast doesn't have a useable panic move. There's no reason why you would consider Bryan's defence worse than say, King.

awesome. do you have any tips that might not be covered in the guide/beginner advice for playing bryan?

Kaz and Kat, you guys are good
nothing personnel, kid. *BANG* *BANG*
your husbando, King, falls to the floor clutching his oily, well defined pecs

>Kat
No

>kaz
Michi wo akete moraou ka

Fucking hell, I'm going to sleep.
Goodnight, /tekgen/

I'm not the same guy you were talking to.

I would just go have a look at the Bryan room in the Tekken Zaibatsu discord. They usually post good shit for beginners.

Rest well please make sure the doors are locked

will do thanks again

get that cuckold away from me

pretty sure its the netcode
I have 5 bars, and have it set to 4 bars and up and still get laggy matches and disconnects almost every night

where do you live?

so cal

How can Lars be the cuck character when Xiaoyu exists
Her entire existence is being cucked by Jin
Lars has his own personal sexbot. He is a winner.

PS4 or PC?
Dont instantly accept matches, even if you put 4 bars you can get matches wtih 3 bars, also dont accept matches from italy or from other continents even if it's say that he has a 5 bar connection

That sexbot went straight for her real master Jin after he commanded her to, in the tekken 6 storyline he basically gets cucked by Jin as the robot was just a tool used by Jin the entire time. And then there's his gameplay, when you play him you can only feel impotent compared to what any other character can do in the game, when you face another character you can only feel the inferiority that a cuckold would feel as they face a superior man. cuck is the only real word to describe him.

ll Serious talk ll
Give your tips on dealing with anger, so we all can be better!

I'd say don't focus so much on winning, but rather focus on what your opponent is doing.Learn your punishes. Also, have patience.

serious advice, learn how to have fun losing
also, learn to appreciate your opponent and their technique against you. they (hopefully) have practiced as much as you for that win
of course this only gets you so far until you're 10-0 in losses and cant even play clear headed, at which point you should just take a break.

It's pretty clear Alisa prefers the Chad Mishima over the virjin Kazama. Forcefully controlling her is the only way a cuck like Jin would get any action.

>when you play him you can only feel impotent compared to what any other character can do
>seriously caring about tiers
bet you main Drag too

Accept that Tekken is hard ass game, in other fighting games having an off day will see you do some bad plays and lose some games, in tekken you'll find extremely hard to put 3 good rounds together. to win a game during those days it's an archivement itself, whatever it's bad decisions, slow reactions, or simply feeling that your execution is off. it's really doesnt matter it will start affecting your whole game. if you play bad you'll not win, it's sound obvious but a lot of people have trouble accepting it.

>Thinking I'm talking about tiers when I'm talking about how Lars players constantly beg for buffs, a self admitted sign of inferiority

>learn to appreciate your opponent and their technique against you
>against a snake edging Law

>learn to appreciate your opponent and their technique against you
>Dragunov repeats wr2 and d2

that comes with the territory, but if its such an issue then you can look up how to react to it. Boom, you just took removed that scrubs main methods of offense and basically guaranteed wins against those kinds of players

the bars represent only ping. they have nothing to do with packet loss and jitter, which are the real problems.

Lili players complain more than Lars players
and bufflars is more of a meme

it's more than a meme, it's a lifestyle

>play in the morning/evening
>good players, frame traps, good kbd, characters like bob, jack, heihachi, asuka
>play in the night
>everyone plays like they are high on cocaine
>mash dash with up or down, looks fucking terrible, they don't realize they ended up in the corner
>bryan, hworang, katarina
>they all spam as hard as possible as well

What the fuck.

are side steps a big part of playing lili?

it's a big part of playing tekken

the fergus overview makes it seem particularly important for lili though

what was that site that helped you search matches by character

tekkendb.com/#/any/0/NONE/any/0/NONE/0/any/0

thanks

Am I a scrub for playing Dragunov?

I used to play Eddy before in T5DR.

How much of general Tekken skills carry over into Soulcalibur? T7 is the first fighting game that I've ever really gotten into, and I'm interested in trying SC6 when that releases as well.

...

just play yoshimitsu

go away fergus...

Is that supposed to be hoochie mama?

Lili has some moves that have an inherent sidestep bound with them just like steve, as such learning to use those moves effectively will require you to understand how sidestep works but it's not like she's dependant on them, i would argue that kazuya or claudio benefit way more from learning to sidestep correctly, Claudio gets his only decent low that is not linear and kazuya gets a free launch if steps correctly with ewfg

are there any characters to avoid on pad or who are easier on stick than on pad?

Some people have told me that Mishimas are harder on pad, although I don't play them so I don't know why.

King is definitely harder on pad.

I expect that any character which relies on a lot of qc or hc motions is at least somewhat harder on pad.

different guy I heard mishimas were easier on pad due to a simpler EWGF input

Depends on the pad and whatever you have trouble doing full circle motions, all characters are playable on pads including mishimas, QCF and QCB motions are not inherently harder on pad compared to an stick, nonetheless it's true that you'll have an easier time with directional inputs in pad but it'll take more time to get the hang of qcf, qcb motions compared to doing them on a stick as they require thumb precision

Only kazuya has the easier ewgf input that is F,n,DF or F,DF, rest of mishimas still do the ewfg with the classic input

tekken has a criminally niche porn scene

cmon u know lars is a cuck loser

The Emperor told me that my anger made me stronger and gave me focus.

after rewatching Strongstyle i think that if no big balance patches happen that change him up that Claudio will be rated higher. He looks like such a fucking bully at times.

Is u/F4 Nina's best option for a 0-1 range CH mid? I think I was spoiled by Steve's df2 and was hoping for something similar with Nina

agreed. i think he’s usually relegated to “great online but too linear for tournaments” which would be true in a deathmatch but his few oppressive tools let him run people down hard. the fact that shadow was able to keep up with saint like that says a lot for the character and shadow as a player.

Get this faggot out of here
