Basic plot gist so far:
Rance & co go exploring North Helman to the ancient Horus battleship. Meet with Satella. Rocky is also there. Horus are early game allies. They get stuck there for five months. When they emerge, Crook and the Knight's Templar are waiting to find them, they explain that the Monster Army has come in from the desert and the world is fucked.

That's... actually kinda boring. Maybe they had to do it to stop Rance becoming human leader immediately, but it means we might miss out on seeing the absolute shitstorm that must have happened during the first days.

The invasion happens 2 weeks before Rance gets out of the battleship, so things are still in the early phase of the shitstorm.

Just after that it goes to the Rance world leader thing, the battleship thing is like a tutorial mode.

We already knew that they got fucked in the initial attack so they needed a reason for Rance to not immediately step in.

Rance fucks Satella and Bezeleye for 5 months while the world burns.

I missed the first part, but from how Crook worded it, Demons invaded a while back and Satella's stalking Rance to see if it's worth recruiting him for the "Rescue Hornet" mission.

Why she's waiting around while her teammates could be tortured, raped or killed is another question all together.

He becomes the human leader immediately anyway. He says that he will save everyone, all the nobles and representative tell him to piss off but the nation leaders give him control one by one.
