You need to stop giving yourself over to the BBC, re/gerg/itator. RLs are trolly as hell, because you're sacrificing long term punch for FUCK I WANT BIG DAMAGE NUMBERS RIGHT NOW AND I DON'T CARE WHERE I HIT TO GET THEM.

That being said, they're good at trolling anything pretty much 70+ tons, where you can at least put the rockets into torso or legs. If torso twisting fundamentals are not for you and you die like a bitch shortly after seeing the enemy, RL's are for you assuming you can at least aim for the center of an assault and pull the trigger a few times in a row to avoid spookyheating yourself to death before being just plain shot to death. After all, if you're going to die in 60 seconds, you can at least give them one big moneyshot before expiring and maybe even help your team by BTFOing some random fattie. Just remember, 50m minimum range, so fire at 60+ lest you look like you're tossing hot dogs at the local thots.

If you can actually survive encountering opponents, the only reason for RLs is you have more tonnage than you need for some weird reason and can stuff a few extra points of damage in the nooks and crannies of your robot.

Otherwise, you're better off with MRM/SRMs.

Lots of people play with armlock and there's not really much lost by it.

Shaix plays with it by default and toggles the arms if he needs them for instance. There are a decent few Div A players that do too.

The Atlas K I had on this clips and the Hunchback I had on this clips only had 2 lasers that were not torso mounted. I'm also genuinely curious, what bothers you if I have arm lock? In securing the kills and play decently well, that's what matters.

Also, I checked the stats on the players I killed and over half of them were on the top 30% with positive kill to win ratios, so they aren't old men. Except that Orion clip, he was a shitter I'll admit. I just wanted to post clips, dunno why it bothers you so much. One tier 5 kill doesn't discredit the rest of it , or even makes the clips less entertaining.

I agree. Proton also toggles it on and off and he's on the top 0.01 percent of players. I don't see how unlocking those 2 medium lasers would give me such a huge advantage despite the other 2 of the lasers being in my chest anyway but whatever.

In the last thread some one said something about some reseen mechs getting pulled out of the Battletech game. Is this true? I can't find any evidence of that.

That build seems utterly underwhelming outside of the Heavy Gauss, fancy kill confirms aside.

It's in the recent Q&A. Marauder, Warhammer and Raven are pulled from initial release but this having anyting to do with HG lawsuit is local conjecture.

According to the devs it was supposed to feature some kind of sensor warfare gameplay but HBS being HBS and this feature is cut from the initial release along with the mech.

Most BTech players will easily and quickly dig out their wallets and chunk 5 or 10 at HBS to get those mechs in the game, after it's released. HBS needs a way to keep incoming coming in afterall. Be ready for mechpacks.

The only unseen I can see in this list (correct me if I'm wrong) is the Shadowhawk and Locust, which both look the least like any of the original designs. However the MWO warhammer still looks extremely similar to the original one, and the marauder sort of? Yes but those two look absolutely nothing like the artwork shown, they aren't even comparable. The archer, pheonix hawk, rifleman and warhammer though look much more similar. That "armored valkyrie" and Atlas have nothing in common.

They will run very different builds; the Lanner will be boating small energy mostly which the Shadow Cat doesn't have the hardpoints to do.

I'm mostly interested in 6B + 2M + 2E that Hero and Cat have, although you're right since Lanner 6E + 4B + 2M will probably be more common.

I think they thought they had the advantage, I peeked out and took them on since they were going to take the high ground and I didn't have enough pitch. This is also a very old clip, back before I updated my mech with new tech and when I was tier 2.
