Literally the only scene from Tsukihime I liked was that part where Shiki goes to a vending machine or something and talks to somebody in a park, and I can't remember if that even happened or if it was some fever dream I cooked up to convince myself that Tsukihime wasn't a complete waste of time

Why do japanese fucking LOVE the illusion of choice in dialogues in their games? 90% of JRPGs and mobages have these completely unnecessary dialogue options that don't even change what the other party says most of the time. Why is it even there?

Vanillas are never going to be relevant again. They haven't been since, like, Pharaoh's Servant.
Rituals come and go. They had a format where they were Tier 0 and a few decent archetypes now and again. But then the most recent Ritual archetype of Vendread is designed like shit.
