If it was I would be playing it. It has some things better like custom maps but OW is getting that as well. They just said that working on the tools for it and doing other stuff at the same time means it will be a while.

It also gets regular attempts at balance to help out the characters that need it. The constant addition of new heroes is great as well, TF2 is on record with Gabe himself lying and saying they would add new classes...over a decade later and nothing.

Community servers in TF2 for the most part though are genuinely dead. The only relevant community servers that I can think of nowadays are Lotus Clan, and that's essentially just Valve servers with shitty admins.
