I never have much issue to tell if something is going to cross up, but maybe it's because I've been playing the game for a while and I can read the jump trajectory of most characters.
My main problem are those dirty crossups that land on the same side, I always get blown up by those.

thats pretty much it in terms of combos you need to grind. maybe also learn going into super from them, and some VT activation stuff (but the only thing you really need here is EX bullhorn xx VT into mp bullhead juggle)
