Most real performance issues and bugs will arise from devs being dipshits, but it was the same thing for VX Ace: don't make a map with a trillion on-touch events and performance will be fine, be careful about scripts and there won't be bugs, etc.

So recently I decided to go through my backlog and stumbled upon RJ195357. Good shit, but I have a small problem with it. There is literally no build up in this game AT ALL. It goes from 0 to a 100 way too fast. It's not even "corruption" at this point since her womb is getting fucking nuked 5 minutes into the game. I've entered the first floor of the tower (which is basically a tutorial) as a virgin and by the time I made it to the second one I was pregnant with 2 liters of cum up my ass. I'm not really complaining, I get that it might be what developers were going after in the first place. I just think that the game would've been better if the process of turning into a cumbucket was more gradual.

Like, is some cases you would either need slight edit or no edit at all, while everything else would need to be simply translated from scratch like always. And if those 'some cases" would take even 1/10 of the whole text, that's still would let translate game faster.

In my case it usually depends on the time gap between an ecchi scene and another. If the game takes too long to unlock something new, I may drop it, but first I check whether there is something interesting coming up in the pictures/data folder.

I usually do that before playing, tho. Like some kind of preview to set a goal to reach.
