Alatreon, Jho, Oroshi Kirin and Lunastra were all in the leaked monster list that had Bezelgeuse and Vaal in it before Rotten Vale was even announced. Sounds like a Q1 release and DLC list, which would make sense to release as first big DLC 2 months after the game release. Releasing only those monsters during the span fo a year wouldn't make sense with the amount of hype the game is getting.

The ele cap negatively impacts weps with under 300 ele. Once you hit 300 or more, you are getting more ele than you would have in the previous gen. So weps like DBs will have to wait until grank to get the best out of the new system but others like bow/lance are pretty strong as is and will get only stronger in grank

This "Find Nergigante tracks" quest is starting to make me go insane. I go into the Elder's Recess, find and hunt the monsters EZ-PZ, but then Nergigante tracks just stopped. I assumed I had to leave and re-enter, but they're still not showing up again, even in areas where they were previously. So I leave and go do shit in the Rotten Vale to get Odogaron stuff, and find tracks Who I'm assuming are from Vaal, now and think that I can find them anywhere. So I keep going on expeditions to the Recess and find jack shit, look online, see that there's a bug where it doesn't highlight the traces, and optional missions are my best bet. But I can't do optional missions because they're 7 star, and I need to find Nergigante to do that. Are there other places you can find him? Do I just have to keep reentering the Recess over and over again until I get lucky?

Honestly Elders are my least favorite part of MH. The entire endgame of this one being fighting just elders with more damage has been a letdown. I hope those come in March because then maybe shit like Tigrex and Zingore and Daimyo will come soon after.

Try this: go to area 11 of elder recess and you SHOULD find some nerg spikes. The scout flies won't mark it so be on the look out. It didn't work for everybody, but it did for me

Flash bombs were nowhere near as good as they are in World. It's not even the flash pods either. It's the slinger.

My first GS build, how's it looking?

CritDraw is useful for all the times I can't do the lv3 tackle-spam charge and it offsets any +ATK I lose (unless I spent the 3 points on Peak Performance, but always being topped-off on melee builds is a pain)

Anything I can improve on, other than getting better decorations?

Are you really playing optimally though? Sitting around waiting for actually good players to discover what's "the best" so you can copy it for 2 days, only to have to farm a new weapon and set next time?
