Stopped project Overlord.
Romanced Kelly in ME2.
Cured the Genophage.
Geth and Quarians have a ceasefire.
Didn't romance anyone in 3 because I still loved Kelly.
Was maxed Paragon in all three games.
Chose Destroy at the end of ME3.

Everyone loves who they love for a reason.

What are the reasons for loving who you love user?

Kelly is really pretty and has a cute hairstyle and a kind sounding voice. But more than those first impressions, she expresses that she cares about the crew and is looking out for them. Sheperd has lots of people looking out for her in combat, but not many who are looking out for her out of combat.
She also liked that Kelly was separate from all the fighting. Kelly was someone she could come home to, and who wasn't involved in all of this combat and fighting and saving the world, and she could just try to be normal with. She wanted to ask about college stories and growing up and listen to her excited to talk about this being her first assignment and all of that. A lighthearted romance, but one that was still genuine and loving. She admired Kelly's attitude and positivity, and how she was open about her emotions and described what she felt about certain events.
Some of Sheperd's strengths, and why he/she is successful in the mass effect trilogy, is that he/she is brave and retains composure in the face of danger and overwhelming odds. But my Sheperd faltered in these when Kelly was kidnapped. She was afraid and worried and panicked. Things she didn't feel even when talking to Sovereign or in battle or when her own safety was threatened.

She didn't fault Kelly for leaving in ME3, in fact she kind of agreed. Being around her was too dangerous and putting her in danger was out of the question. She would rather be alone than endanger her. In the hopes that they could reunite when all of this is over, she didn't get involved with anyone else in Kelly's absence.

Hell, I can see Shepard not even using the toys, just making an intricately designed display to troll people who walk in. The tame stuff catches their eye first, followed by the strange stuff, and then the last thing they'd see is the three foot silicone Krogan quad.
