Finish the Fate route at least. If you can't stomach it then you're better off reading other VNs. Nothing is quite similar to Fate since its routes are enforced with clear themes and progression. Maybe Dies irae but from what I've seen it's not quite the same since it doesn't have a clear theme through out the routes. I also personally can't stand the overexaggerated chuuni.
