Build roads everywhere through the province interaction menu. Milk the fuck out of the Sound, reinvest it all into harbors, roads/irrigation, and town halls. Heavy urbanization is the best way to grow tall.

Though the war is still ongoing, I need to turn my mind to the future. My son is still un-married and given his apparent lack of interest in the fairer sex, that is a problem better solved sooner, rather than later. If Astrid were to marry Hysing however and Halsten were to marry the lad's sister, a later re-unification of the bloodlines might prove... Unpleasant. Further, whole Holmfrid is a fine girl, she is seven years my son's junior and still three years from being of child-bearing age, while Inga could take up her bridal duties right away...

What would you propose I do? This would be so much easier if Inga would simply consent to become my son's concubine, but without the offer coming from him directly, I have little power to make such a thing come to pass.

The main way to affect it is by sucking the dick of you estates. Give them privileges and favours, and they'll give you stab points. Once enough are accumulated, your stability increases. It also grows over time naturally, depending on your provinces' wealth.

Really, unless you're feeling the heat from instability, it's best to let it grow naturally instead of giving power up to the estates.

Despite the fact there were no such Brazilians in the South China sea this was all the justification that was needed for a formal declaration of war.

You'd have to drag it through central Asia, then through Russia or Poland and Crimea, and that's just shit to be honest. Your best bet would be blobbing into the English Channel trade node and grabbing some trade ports around western France and Iberia to drag it through that way, and it's still a fucking mess to do. Denmark can't really go into Asian trade without far-flung conquests along European coasts.

Yeah Denmark ain't shit at the start, not much population to work with. Gouge burghers out of money, use the nobles to get troops for small wars around the Baltic to try and gain trade dominance. If you could somehow gain a foothold in the Hansa trade region (by capturing the Hanseatic cities mostly) you'd be golden.

Yeah, nothing you can do about it though, it's just the way Trade is programmed. Sucks ass that you can't make big shifts in regional economic prominence and trade routes happen.

Fun maybe, but it's not that good. Darkest Hour would be a much better base for a Cold War setting. Again, Victoria 2 just doesn't simulate the warfare or events well.
