Why were p5's dungeon themes so much better than p4's?

I think P5's dungeon themes are the best in the series. The rest of the OST isn't anywhere near as good imo.

Speaking of soundtracks, which soundtrack do you like the most: P3, P4 or P5?
I would say P3 because nearly every song is great in that game.

There's so much really. Now that I think back on it it's really hard to pick and choose.

Kamoshida's and Futaba's arcs were the best in general. I really liked most of the confidants, but special shout outs go to Yoshida and Haru.

The entirety of October 26 was a fucking rollercoaster, first the Akechi interview and then Sojiro finding out about the Phantom Thieves. Incidentally my birthday lol

The calling card cinematic for Shido was probably the high point of the entire game for me. After that grueling shitshow of a Palace (minus the Boss rush, that was fucking cash) it was a really cool reward. Shido's endurance run of a boss fight was also great.

I wasn't a fan of having 2 versions of Beneath the Mask playing throughout the entirety of the game. P3 had a similar problem until the switched in the Elder God-Tier Memories of the City.

No, thats a pretty common opinion. Even the dungeon themes I enjoy like Castle and Game start to get pretty damn grating after a while. P5 did a good job on making sure their themes didn't get too worn out for most of them by having variations of them for different areas of the Palace.
