Hes the only monster that has triple carted me, and i have only been able to kill him twice- once with 3 other people who carried me hard and i carted twice and once solo that i carted twice.

But really though is Weakness Exploit even worth getting if you don't really hit weakzones? For example SnS has such little reach you can't realistically be expected to hit the weakzones constantly.

I think the main reason I'm having trouble is because I run SA. Its hard to just peck-and-run with this damn thing. I feel like the only way I can beat the guy is getting off the occasional R2 on his tail or face and just running away to let him do whatever then try to sneak in another one ad infinitum.

Its not really a fight as much as it is a chore now. Even with full Bazel he's just got too many ways to fucking cart me in a heartbeat for being too close.

I think the best thing to do with SA is try and fish for Wild Swing finishers to break the spikes, then go wild in sword mode when he falls over. Honestly fighting Nerg with SA without memesteady really is a sub-par match up.

Nerg telegraphs everything far in advance other than that tailslam. Hit his forelegs and pay attention to what he's doing.

Is the difference in damage big? I'm mostly solo.
The weapons look ridiculously big on my female hunter.

Grab a bow, any bow. Hop in the training room. Figure out critical distance. Back up until you're out of range, then slowly edge in. You'll get the target icon. Keep moving in and you'll get a second circle on the icon. As long as that second circle is there, you are in critical range. If the second circle isn't there your damage is falling off. Play with different coatings to see how it effects them.

I still haven't finished the story. I just killed Nergigante and it was such a disappointment. All you need to do is to hug it's feet and the fight is over in few minutes.

I would wager the latter i.e. you don't have to be /as/ close as you normally would have to. Not sure about close range coating but probably beneficial overall

What's better for insect glaives: pure raw (Diablos + Elementless) or elemental?

I was guessing pure raw but everyone I see doing speed kills with IG is using Nergigante's glaive, even if they're not fighting an elder dragon. Does elemental damage add up fast enough on IG to be worth it?

Any tips for getting gud with swaxe? I want to un-crutch myself from using gunlance all this time but I feel like swaxe damage is so much more punishing to get out than full burst spam and the dashes feel way worse
