Every Hori FC pad ive had has broken on me, meanwhile all my PS1 and 2 controllers work fine. it has nothing to do with playing like an 'ape' and more of the fact that they're designed like trash

Pads or sticks don't make you better at anything besides really specific inputs (pianoing for instance)
You should always play on what you were raised on. Play on pad all your life? Stick to pad. Play in the arcades/on a stick your whole life? Stick to stick.
So what kind of game could I use this for? The fighting game with flight simulator elements genre seems a bit limited.
I've played on pad my entire life and have been playing fighting games since 2012, but nice try. the 'dpad adjuster' on the Hori controllers only weakens the strength of the dpad overall and will cause it to shit the bed after a few months use because they're built like shit. have fun breaking that hori in 3 months of playtime unless you exclusively play low execution games like SFV.
