Mine isn't optimal but I have eye patch, dober mail and greaves, teostra gloves, and bazel coil all beta versions. With gems and charms that gives me max attack up, weakness exploit, and earplugs and a few more jewel slots.

I've always found the international names confusing. P2, P2G, P3, 4, 4G, X, XX was easy to keep track of.

Yeah try it for fun. You can later just import your save to XX and it will carry over. XX doesn't have a translation patch.

If you have a cfw 3ds just go with XX or consider playing gen and then save transferring to XX. If you don't have cfw then the save transfer isn't possible.

I like to think that this is a result of Capcom having to release the game and not having time to make proper, unique weapon models for every major upgrade.
This is based on the fact that some final upgrade versions do have unique models and are similar to older designs, most notably Nergigante, Vaal Hazak, Legiana and Odogaron weapons.
I hope when G rank comes, all final upgrades are unique.

The maps may be shitty, but the few good unique monsters put it above FU for me. that's just me though. I certainly wouldn't rank it much higher than FU or Dos.

If you can survive one hit from nerg, you'll be fine assuming you're not a baddie. Use some armor spheres if you can't.

size 3 for 1 point, unless you really need the agitator 2 from nerg gloves, I'd go for kaiser b gloves, WE+1 and another size 3 slot, and you could drop bazel chest and use a guard decoration for +3 without using any decoration slots.
