I just realised we were talking about the Oerba bird and not Ifrit Ex. I think I had Tifa in place of Vanille when doing bird.

Honestly, I just took calculated risks when deciding between breaks and hp. Even if a character was at max break, I'd do another break attack if he was targeted by bird. I made sure to break the bird every single turn, or at the very least get it low so it wouldn't do any damage when it did attack. The two characters that weren't being targeted would just go to town on hp.

That's pretty much my general playstyle for all of the bosses. It's worked on every single one so far. Just pay attention to what the boss is targeting and plan accordingly with your turns.

Why JP got 10 x regular tickets and 3 x 4* tickets, and in GL we get only 6 x regular tickets and 2 x 4* tickets ? It's 4 regular tickets less and 1 4* ticket less.

As any new event came, I check out the bundles. A slight upgraded version of the last chest appeared (2x 4 star tickets and more rare tickets).

Upon buying them, I notice there is now a confirmation page that weren’t here before, confirming that I acknowledge that I will not be able to receive refund after 14 days.

While I most likely won’t anyway, had enough people done charge back recently for Gumi to make this notice?

But just having one Setzer isn't as good as having two. With one, you only have 2 turns of BRV FRZ (and bonus Max BRV). With two, you have FOUR.

I was reading a thread on /v/ just then, people consider it a problem FF is so varied. Personally I really like how each entry is vastly different, sure sometimes things might not work but there's always the next game.

Facebook Login cost me the 10+1...and changed the way I view this game.

We all know the Facebook login system is garbage - it actually cost me the 10+1 because I got locked out of my account for 2 days last week despite me being proactive in ensuring that this didn't happen - I log on every week, like a few posts, edit my information, etc. I've tried contacting Gumi asking them if they can give me the login days for those two I missed so I can get the 10+1 but they said that "to maintain equality and balance" that they can't do that. Yeah we all know they're full of it. Oh well, it was worth a shot. My consecutive login days of probably 500 days came to an end due to something that was out of my control, and what's even scarier, is it was out of GUMI's control (they couldn't do anything about it, even though it's their own game).

The plus side is that it changed the way I played and viewed the game - it turned me into a more casual player. I no longer feel obligated to burn through all my NRG (letting NRG fill up for 2 days felt pretty good; atm I don't even feel like TM farming anymore), but most of all, it reiterated the fact that I DON'T OWN ANYTHING IN THIS GAME. Sure, I've bought lapis bundles (I'm in no way a whale; I've rolled over EX pts once and am at around 135, but I've also cashed in on those 1.5x EX pt events; most of my purchases have been from gift cards) but at the end of the day, the sad truth is my account isn't truly fully under my control - Gumi and Facebook have the final say more than I do, even though I'm the paying customer here.

Anyways, I just thought I'd share my story about this. I hope this doesn't happen to you guys.

In case you are wondering, here are the series of events that led up to my FB account being deactivated: 1) FFBE asked me to log in. 2) When I logged in, it asked me to take a selfie (which I did). 3) My account was locked, but not deactivated for about 24 hours (I have the same FB account tied to DFFOO, and I was able to play that fine). 4) After 24 hours, my account was deactivated, so I had to "appeal" and even send in a photo of my ID to FB. 5) After 2 days, I got my account back.

Edit: I see that a lot of people have ran into this issue this month as well as in the past months. The most infuriating thing about this is that if you contact support, they won't help you; I've told them I'm not asking for anything free, I just want to get what I WOULD HAVE had if Facebook hadn't decided to lock me out of my account. ...Anyway, it seems that this post reached our community manager /u/elytraxp, which is good enough for me.

Struggling to keep up with this game

I know you will all call me crazy for someone juggling so many games at once(FFRK,FFBE,MFF) but I'm always overwhelmed with the gear that I see friends have and I have maybe 2 dps characters that have high attack but low everything else. I can't help but feel like I'm playing this game a bit wrong? I work on events and leveling units and focus on giving TMs to characters that have useful TMRs but its a long grind. But as soon as there is an ELT challenge or superboss, I just move on to the next one.

I started to heavily focus on playing catch up on the Story, just reached season 2, and struggled to fight Delta Star boss with my strongest team and only won because of Friend Unit. But even today, I have never been able to defeat the higher difficult level bosses or some of the higher nemesis fights.

Any thoughts or tips? You can also just tell me I'm bad and just continue doing whatever lol

Lapis Tracking - No More

Dear Everyone,

I have to inform you that there will be no lapis tracking anymore, at least from me. It doesn't take THAT much time to track lapis, but it is time that I can no longer afford to spend on a daily basis.

If somebody decides to take the duty from me, please do, I still think it's an interesting thing to track.

If nobody starts tracking, I guess we can keep those following as conclusions from 4 months of tracking :

Arena gives between 1200 and 1300 lapis every month
Daily quests give between 1700 and 1900 lapis every month
Story Updates give around 3k lapis
King Mog events give around 750 lapis
Expeditions give 400 or 500 lapis
Compensations and community events are irreliable
Trials and special events give very low amount
Finally, daily rewards can give a wide range of lapis, with a normal month being apparently around 1200 lapis.

I'll link my gdoc one last time here, feel free to make copies and start tracking on your own.
