Alright got it. The patch makes a new folder on the game directory just copy the shit in that folder to the main game directory and replace the files and the patch works.

I just found out my upload was bad anyway. When I patched, it placed a www folder inside anouther folder in the game folder, not actually patching it. I'll upload a fixed copy anyway soon.

Yeah, you have a lot of generics available to you and you can lose all but one girl who is unrapable. A thief that the king can't abduct and is capable of escaping captivity. But you aren't forced to romance her.

You can recapture any girl at any point. Wait too long and they'll join the enemy where you can capture them like other units, but the more they've been through the harder it is to re-recruit them and it might take a few times recapturing them when they escape.

Unfortunately when they are raped by the king or the enemy they're ruined as a girl for the rest of the playthrough. You can send a girl from the kings harem to be raped by the enemy, or a girl raped by the enemy to the kings harem, but your interaction with them is limited to one conversation where they either apologize for being broken goods or still yearn for the one that fucked them, depending on the stage you took them back at I believe.
which is a shame. could've had some nice healing potential there.

I'm still playing through the first game but I'm enjoying the fact that the MC is a beta dicklet who hasn't had the balls to fuck any of the girls yet despite having multiple chances to do so. The lenght and frequency of the story conversations has been a little off-putting though. I've played 4 hours and only cleared 2-3 story chapters. I hope the gameplay picks up soon.

Yeah, the MC could easily have a harem if he was even slightly proactive, which makes it hard to feel sorry for him or want him to succeed.

The massive story dump at the beginning is what I consider the tutorial, as you don't really have a lot of features available until it's over.
It'd definitely be a lot better if there was an option to skip that. You're left to your own devices shortly after the king comes into power pretty much.
