i put some points into the domination tradition too
how the hell can i go about making people my vassal

1st for mods will fix it

>5k fleet vs 5k fleet
>circle of hyperlanes going around a border
>both fleets on opposite sides, cant afford to split mine and intercept the other
>capture and reclaim eachothers bases in a circle for 10 minutes

give me my actually playable FTL methods back pls thanks luv u wiz

This makes me mad.

I like the way borders work in 2.0. Each time I find a new empire, it's like fiding a piece of art that makes up the galaxy.

showing increasing levels of sentience

So what's the verdict on Railguns in ES2? Are they just better kinetic slugs?

>Mandasura hive
Thanks doc.

What's the optimal meme build in 2.0?

So how is the Marauder event?

and ready to surface

Just one more thing that's broken to fuck.

Apparently 2.0 broke both devouering swarms and driven exterminators "eat the conquered" mechanic to the point where you're giving them food instead of eating them.

It sure is a wierd bug to pass through testing

That game is like a cute girl who doesn't know how to have good sex.

You have to ask them first, in diplo options

Anyone finding unrest completely unmanageable in 2.0?

Soldiers don't seem to affect it anymore and I've found no buildings that lowers unrest, so I'm stuck with only the edict that cuts it in 50% and nothing else.

DEEP

SITE

>be purifiers
>take all an empires planets without taking his spaceports
>all his outposts and starbases vanish
>and all those systems need to be scanned
Neato, but also annoying I knew I should have taken that chokepoint to my next victim

You need to demand that they become your vassal first. Once they declined you can declare war on them for subjugation.
In order to be able to demand vassalisation you need to be bordering them directly and they need to not be superior to you.

Currently, being connected via wormhole doesn't mean that you're bordering them. I hope as fuck that they fix that.

Bleh tech RNG hasnt given it to me yet ;;

>unrest
Have you tried not being a tyrannical shit?

I'm not tyranical, I'm just purgeing the meatbags to ensure galactic stability :^p

Space peacock feudal empire, here we go.

>playable ftl methods
man, the other ftl methods were way more of a fuckin mess. at least it's POSSIBLE to catch other fleets now. in the last game I played before the update I had a fleet follow me in circles across the ENTIRE galaxy. I had wormhole and they jumpdrive.

also, seriously, get more than one fleet, you NEED to have more than one fleet. there is no way you only have one

>tfw 12 core system limit
>tfw habitat-capped in all my core systems
Time to spam citadels I guess.

I'm also trading away 200 energy for 100 minerals across two traders and i"m still fucking capped.

It's living state, how have you not gotten it?

>tfw you're playing stellaris over family share and you have access to all of the DLC except for the free one for some weird steam reason

Seeing these colours sorta makes me understand why they don't just release 100 more colours in an update.

its especially unusual why they dont when the average game has more empires in it than there is colours to choose from

How come my livestock don't produce any food?

...

Someone with a lot of time on his hands should make a short pastebin with all the shit stellaris 2.0 broke or completely remade in a way that doesn't make sense in the game.

How do I fix the map having like 6 layers?

Domination is absolutely worthless now, dont fucking bother with it at all, infact dont bother with even trying be aggressive at all, cause this war system is retarded.

>testing
>implying Paracuck test anything
Elle est Mao Tsé Tongue.

>Science ship finds an inhabitable planet in a system, a gate in another.
>Moves to a third system.
>My empire forgets where the planet and the gate are.
Ahaha, what the fuck?
Is my shit bugged or do you really not get systems at "medium" intel level anymore just from exploring them once?

Didn't there use to be a "flatten" option when you started a game? Or maybe it was a mod.

it also broke Fanatic purifiers "work them to death" purge

idk I don't play this game much

these map layers are triggering my autism though

Just hold RMB down and move your camera to a top down angle and you'll be set?

>claims on all their systems
>go to war
>destroy all their military, occupy planets and systems
>defense pact member not showing up because they're on the other side of the galaxy
>control all war goals
>not enough acceptance
>I haven't won the war
>war exhaustion just slowly increasing on both sides
hmm

Someone should make a short pastebin explaining questions that are asked constantly.

>how do I make my ships ignore a certain system when pathfinding?
click the button at the bottom of the system view
>how do I conquer shit?
Use influence to claim systems then declare a war. When the war ends you will keep all systems that you have a claim on AND are occupying. This is a side goal of wars. Meaning that it doesn't matter which war goal you are using, you will keep all occupied, claimed systems after it's over.
Fanatic purifiers don't have to do this.
>what do additional claims do?
Time breaker for when you have allies in the same war.
>how do I vassalise shit?
Get domination tradition, then be bordering with an inferior empire. You will get the ability to demand their vassalisation. If they decline you will get the ability to declare war on them and vassalise them by force.
>what's currently bugged?
Livestock slave/purge stuff.
Two empires connected via wormhole don't count as "bordering".

is it a bug or is the game supposed to be like this?

what the fuck do I spend energy on early game

Status quo gives you everything you have claims on amd occupy

Tile blockers, leaders, trade it for minerals

can you screenshot what the war exhaustion is saying or something?
In the one war I have fought so far I was able to claim and conquer all systems of the enemy without problem.

The "removeing a fleet template actually destroys the ships too" thing should probably also be mentioned?

There's allways been some level of Z-altitude in the game, if it's grown or not isnt something I've taken notice of recently.

It was more frustrating when a systems Z positioning could make it seem to be in range of your old border projection outpost zone and then not actually be in range.

Now that they changed up the way borders work I've not taken notice of it at all desu.

>what's currently bugged?
Fleet manager is wonky sometimes with graphical issues and similar.
There might be something weird going on with wormholes/etc not showing up properly on the galaxy map, but I'm not sure if it has to do with sensors/nebulas hiding them.

it was about 30% on my side and 50% theirs, even though I only lost a few corvettes
I used the status quo offer when it became available, but its stupid because its also the same as achieving my wargoals.

Did you capture all their planets? I think the guys in my game instantly capitulated when I did.

Can you copy paste fleet templates into new fleets?

Use any of these mods.

I guess status quo is sort of like Koreas, it's not really a peace and nobody surrendered, but you stopped fighting.
No, because those aren't templates, those are fleets. Don't remove them.

What's the best years to use for mid game and end game?

If you have no syth dawn/ apocalypse then midgame doesn't matter.
Besides that I'd say 2250 for mid and 2300 for late.

Got busy/excited watching that curling match. Anyways, we are able to breath air now!

Forgot how ugly the game looked.

We survived the wars of our fathers but this rock will not sustain us for long. We must find a new home.

I really do like this "Origins Civics" I'm going to use the intercepted alien transmission one in my next game.

It spawned at the opposite end of the galaxy for me.

Ate 2 empires quickly, made 2 more into satrapies, then an event appeared saying that the great khan died and the empire splintered into 2 halves, losing its satrapies.

They haven't really recovered yet and are boxed 2 by 2 powerful empires.

What is better, specialising research or trying to have as even research as possible?

Did you get "excited"? :^)

Guys, I want to fuck Wiz badly.

Did there used to be a graphical effect for Deceptive Giant Anomaly?
I don't remember it in 1.9

>Wiz
>not Cecily

Wha?!!
I don't even have the ascension perk for psychic shit

Why doesn't EVERY civ have events like this? Including player civs in some way.
Why can't you pay every civ to attack another?
Why can't you buy mercenary fleets/ leaders from every civ?
Why doesn't every civ, including player, have the ability to demand and threaten for resources/etc?

You need to research psy theory to be able to unlock the ascension perk.

Too hard for Stellaris players
t. Wiz

Man we look mighty ugly with the shitty wings

oh
is that a new change?
I rarely ever go psychic and I wasn't really planning on it this game since I am fanatic purifiers and was leaning more towards synth like I usually do for the straight up fleet bonuses and shit

Please go extinct. It's painful to see.

I don't like how pleased Horatio sounds when you keep messaging him.

...

it was always that way, with spiritualist empires being able to do it regardless

Why wouldn't Horatio be pleased? Horatio is Horatio.

Earth is at its limits we barely make enough food to survive and the power grid is at its limit. But it was worth it. We have succeeded. We will prosper on this new world. May we always remember the sins of our fathers and not squander this new eden.

if you really want i can switch to genocidal race (different save) because i can make horrifying abominations

That's not horrifying.

Shame the vault can't be your capital instead of the standard building.
Lame and uninteresting writing btw.

Guess that shows how often I go along the psychic path that I don't even know its conditions
and how often I go with materialists

Star ruler 1 & 2 is fun, I remember when I played with /rtsg/ steam gruppen. It was fun

I know it isn't, i'm saying thats the only thing i can make decently is murder machines

Only thing I can make decently in Spore are rip off from Silent Hill's Caliban.

pls stop I`m having feel sin places I shouldn`t. I still have the original cds here

Is there a reason to ever build the energy producing facility in the starbase?

>Cucked out of my star project

REEEEE CRYSTALS GET OUT

I thought that every economy addon on starbases is useless. Do they even scale with anything? Can be upgraded? Maybe that's why habitats were nerfed, so that spamming habitats isn't immensely superior to having starbases do some economy.

Keep going, you magnificent bastard. Let me relive my childhood through you.

I had this 100+ hours save where I was trying to create a fuckhug empire through annexions and planet purchase. I had a purple dust producing planet which gave me trillions of credits, and I would autistically wait for trades to complete so I could buy entire empires peacefully.
I wish war was more interesting in this game. You couldn't send fleets and you always had to be there in person to take planets.

I've been spamming anchorages on every spare starport I've got. But then I'm playing a genocide campaign so I guess there's that

One of the starbase buildings increases the energy output of all energy produced by the starbase. Offworld trading or something.

thanks ea

>tfw you get an entire huge section of the galaxy all to yourself due to Fallen empire and chokepoint

>you may not like it but this is what peak balance looks like

Is this a bug? I fought only one battle and won it, routing or destroying most of their fleet, but it shows two engagements, and the "Utter Defeat" was far more devastating to my war exhaustion than the "Overwhelming Victory" was to theirs.

They sound friendly

according to Wiz, it's WAD, just need a little number tweaking
if you can be arsed to you can mod it yourself, in 00_defines.txt

so someone mentioned yesterday about having more outposts (or was it starbases) lowers technology rates, is this true?

It`s feature :')

>*blocks ur path*
