Just finished this Two Sicilies game, stayed an absolute monarchy all game (amazingly the rebels were surprisingly calm, never even started that annoying "break one brigade off of every stack" bullshit), made the Congo South Italian, made a lot of the Philippines and Taiwan South Italian as well, also Cuba.

I had to take the state bordering Alsace and make my borders look bad just because i need a buffer for inevitable wars against me by France.

Idiot, there are a bunch of decisions you can take in the period 1836-1837 which act as settings. One of them is enable/disable Occitania. How could you miss that is completely unknow to me.
