Valve doesn't make money off of ref trading, I don't even think there are that many "stock" keys being bought anymore. That's the reason why all the new cases have case specific keys and why everything is tradeable on SCM, but not craftable now. Valve doesn't give a single fuck about Geel and his monopoly.

I hope they're more strict on alting than they were in Teemolander. Team with 5 alts + Doomsday.exe got disqualled because they were really obvious about it and won the entire thing while 5-0ing everyone. Apparently no one cared until the matches actually got streamed. It was really fucking shitty, if people were willing to alt just so they could roll no experience kids getting into competitive in a tournament with no prizepool, I can only imagine the Archimedes Cup will be far worse since it has actual money involved.
