Chaldea was created to oversee the future, Goetia was just a distraction towards that, he wasn't the main thing they were doing. There still were five beasts to go through, there still were five grands to go through, ti would have been shit.

Reminder, Melt said, in her own words, that Palladion was the only attack they overlook when imposing restrictions on Lip and her. In other words, Palladion was the only thing they were able to use without nerfs.

And guess what, Palladion was still used and broke Melt's SG. A broken SG cannot even be fixed with BB's powers, yet we still have her in the story, several days after she was impaled by Gawain and broke herself with said combined attack.

It's a huge, huge plot hole, and I can tell you wy it happened. Because Nasu didn't tell Takenoko how Palladion works. It's amazing how one small detail can bring down an entire villain's plan and a plot twist.
