No, HC is nice for CB but you can charge your sword to prevent bouncing and sharpness doesn't affect phial damage.

Fucking absolutely. Every time I join an SOS there's at least one of them and a LS player. If it's a Bazel SOS there's at least two because shitters are afraid of fighting him with blademaster weapons.

I can't gem in many skills so the armor/charm is really important so I can prioritize the best skills.

There are a ton of ranged players because Capcom made playing ranged similar to a third person shooter. It's a super familiar draw where they don't have to learn the game quite as much.
