I wonder how voice acting and facial animations would have changed FF8. When I played it as a kid I imagined Squall as a cool, deep-voiced Jotaro type, but the moment he fell for Rinoa, I started imagining him sounding more vulnerable and less confident. The pitch of his voice even got higher, and his inflections almost whinier in my head.
