You are right. Roche should not have been the first avatar to get rotated in. There are many avatars that came before Roche that some players might have missed and rotating in Roche so soon just make people that grinded for it feel like they wasted their time. If Roche was to come back in say 4 months I doubt you would have an issue.

Roche was the first new character portrait released though, so it makes sense that he's the one to get rotated first. It's inconvenient for anyone that invested extra time into grinding for him, but it would make a whole lot of the people that missed him happy as well.
