I miss shooting down UFOs and going in there tentatively against a potentially terrifying enemy. The reward when you kill them all and collect their guns, bodies, and precious technology is so good.

I miss capturing aliens. Building that secure facility deep in your mountain base, then sending out your brave warriors to claim your prize is awesome. Back at base you get to look in at what your hard work has done, and eventually you let vahlen pry their brains open.

I feel like these two things alone are way more satisfying than XCOM 2. I can only really say killing a chosen feels as nearly as good. I still love the game but yeah.

Alright finally fixed my HDD problems. cloned the old one into a new one and zero filled it to be anime/movie dump HDD and bought it an aluminum case. It had 2 bad sectors, I am not going to risk it. I can finally play XCOM now.

Venlafaxine, Bupropion. Venla was working great, helped curtail my anxiety, was feeling almost normal but felt like I wasn't quite there so doctor modified it with bupropion.
Took 150 mg for awhile, then got bumped up to 300. Laid down today to go to bed, was literally browsing the xcom 2 workshop,
and then I got this weird sensation like my head was spinning or falling and I felt like I was about to black out. Figured it was just a one off thing as it went away, then it came back,
went away, came back, went away. I figured it was just anxiety/panic at this point so I tried to lay down, then it hit me hard. Literally flipped on my stomach and grabbed hte side of the bed because I got this sensation like I was being sucked away. That's the only way I can describe it. Like my body but not my body was falling out of me. I haven't taken any other drugs and never have besides weed, and I haven't touched weed in years because it just makes me freak out. I am not on acid or shrooms I swear. Anyway I took 2mg of ativan because I was freaking the fuck out so I am feeling better but I still have the weird sensations

You're entering the adjustment period due to the drug increase. I would make a note of the symptoms you describe and see if they get better or worse as your brain/body tolerates this new dosage. If this continues without improvement and you really prefer going back to the Venla + 150 Bupropion you should do that

I would stay the fuck away from that as much as possible, knew someone who had horrible withdrawal when trying to get off of it.

Did you notice any effect from the bupropion before the dosage was increased? I'm biased against it because I actually tried it for a few months when I thought I had depression. It never worked, and I had bad withdrawal with it myself.

I used to get similar feelings of falling/about to black out while binge drinking heavily in my younger years and I'm fine now, if it's any consolation that the sensation is not unheard of.

No epilepsy in my family. Mum and aunts are nurse if it happens again will ask them to take heart rate. I've known ativan my whole life, my doctor is very very stingy and her and I are both very aware of its addictive properties. Unfortunately theres nothing quite like it for unnatural intense panic, so I usually carry some around with me. I don't pop them every day so so far I think I am okay. The only effect I noticed from the bupo was I was starting to feel periodically content/happy, which is unusual. Then I increased and had this feeling.

Also they have to do something with dr vahlen so there has to be more content. Unless the boss nigga aliens is really it.

Buproprion XL gave me constipation sometimes, but it was the 3rd thing I got prescribed and worked the best. Vortioxetine gave me headaches without feeling better while Fluoxetine made me feel hot all the time. Without better. I stopped cold turkey once I felt better, probably wasn't the brightest idea, but I didn't want to become dependent on 450mg of Buproprion.

That was for major depression. Now if only I could orgasm/nut strongly again. No sexual side effects from the meds, it's just something that's been bothering me for a while.

Maybe I just need a partner.

I have mad constipation from the venlo, like it's seriously affecting my life. So I've begun taking things for that. My sex drive is all over the place with the meds. I actually want them to reduce it and they did for a bit but yeah. Oh well. Last night was one of my worst experiences with long term meds though

Being constipated is not a good feel. Adding additional meds to help that isn't really.food either. I feel that the less meds there are, the better.

Anti depressants are also bad because maybe apparently don't even perform better than placebos in peer reviewed medical studies. Some will even fuck up your sex life like permanently.

To start it off I'm going to say that anti depressants are not a magical cure-all drug. There are often serious side effects. But anti depressants can be and is, together with counceling/therapy, lifestyle changes, excercise, etc, a good thing. Consulting a proper doctor about it is better than googling.

Huh. Based on bupropion's mechanism of action I would have expected the opposite to happen. Aside from that, though, you sound like you're doing great - on the right track, and you have competent people to check up on you, so I'd continue unless your intuition tells you not to or your symptoms get worse.

It happened again boys. Another Ironmeme run down the drain. Three missions in a row I ran my concealed scout up to a corner and there's a fucking alien shit right there to spot me. It culminated in a party wipe where I lost Frost Grenades, Hunter Axe (right after I upgraded it), and a plethora of other items like ammos and Grimy loot weapons. I don't think that's recoverable, especially since I haven't killed any Alien Ruler yet. I'm coming to realize that money and mission rewards are generally not worth risking unreplacable items like the Alien Hunter weapons. I could have easily done without the 100 Intel I would not have gotten on that mission, but 6 dead high ranking XCOM operatives and all the lost items basically torpedoes the campaign. I know I'm a big baby because I'm struggle so hard on Commander with various mods that make the game both easier and harder, but damn if Ironmeme doesn't get my goat sometimes. After save scumming for so long, it's really punishing when a few mistakes destroy everything.

7.7 hours in, shit's fun. Didn't unlock any mechs yet, want to complete first squad achievements first. Ramming Speed is a bitch. With other mech's descriptions and occasional weapon in the store, it feels like they will play much more differently, unlike the ships in FTL.
Don't pick easy difficulty, it's for pussies. Really sucks out the tension. Final showdown is intense

Got that on second island. Did it completely by accident. Turns out you only need to move four tiles if the enemy is the fifth. Didn't know it worked like that, got lucky. Also, machpunching psions is among the most satisfying things I've seen thus far. Also, using the artillery mech to push vek into water will never ever get old.

I haven't cleared it yet. Trying to decide what my second squad will be, I've got nearly enough coins for any of them currently (I think I need one more for the 6 coin guys). Probably gonna take one of the weird squads on my second run.
