PCtS is still on the reading list. I heard the recent Ouroboros chapter takes place in that timeline, it did sound sad but it was still sweet. The worst possible outcome in the storm but Max and Chloe were still okay because they had each other. That's very moving.

I love Ouroboros so much but I can admit that Small Things is a better story in terms of writing, plot, and being an overall package (sequel hype!). Ouroboros is a great fic for a prolonged story and world-building but the writing isn't consistent because you see TH's improvement and shift the deeper you get into it.

Personally, I want to see a good mix of both Max and Chloe. And their sad and happy moments from that time, to show that they were still living despite being apart. It's just that they're both decidedly much happier when together. I don't want it to be endless sadness for them.
